Everything was fine yesterday so Sir Asa decided that we are free for the entire Meet. We can watch games and cheer for our school. The happiest part is that he told us that we don't need to work our ass off in this event. According to Sir Asa, our manpower during the first day was enough. He also assured us that our teachers will be in charge starting today. So I guess, our work here is done.
I was strolling around the campus. I can't contact Twinkle and Ayen, but yesterday Ayen told me that they will have a game today. So I decided to watch their game.
Maraming naka pambahay na naglalakad sa school grounds. Many of them have towels on their shoulders, some are already in their jerseys. 'Yung iba naman nagkakape. Carefree ng mga people ngayon pero later on kung magstart na ang mga games, nandyan na ang pressure and tension.
I remember my experience 2 years ago. Other school 'yung naghost kaya we need to bring foams and sleeping materials kasi sa mga classrooms kami matutulog. Our school offers us hotel accommodation back then pero tinanggihan namin kasi mas masaya sa school. Experience rin 'yun.
Ganitong-ganito rin kami. Maaga gumigising, nag-uunahan sa mga CR. It was fun.
Nakita ko si Ayen na nagwa-warm up together with her teammates. Nakita niya ako so I wave and she smiled at me. Nakita naman 'yun ng nga kasamahan nya kaya napatingin sila sa akin.
She gestured me to come over so I did.
"Goodluck baby Yen-yen!" I greeted her with a mocking tone.
Bigla naman siya nainis sa akin at pinagtawanan siya ng mga ka-team mates nya. Calling her with her nickname plus a sweet endearment makes her fuss like this.
"You know how much I hate being called like that"
"Yes I know right! Kayanga tinawag kita ng ganun diba? That's what friends are for"
"Napaka mo talaga Trice"
"Alam ko na 'yan. No need to remind me"
"Che! Bakit palakad-lakad ka ngayon? Wala bang work ang Council ngayon? I thought you'll be busy this entire meet. Anyare?"
Some of her teammates gestured that they will go meet their coach. Nag-oo na lang kami
"Wala eh. Sila na raw bahala"
"Ha? Di ko gets. Bakit ganun?"
"Di ko rin alam. Pero atleast naman I'm free from work"
"Pero diba nga tinanggihan mo 'yung dance troupe because you need to work tapos yun pala hindi na rin kailangan? Ako nasasayangan Trice" she said
I couldn't blame the administration. And Ayen is right. Tinanggihan ko 'yung dance troupe dahil sa work ko sa council. I'm a bit disappointed pero what else can I do?
