Broken Glass (Kakashi x Reader)

The Mission Begins

Your Pov 

It is currently 6:30 a.m.  I quick get my my things and head toward the front gates. 

Once I get to the front gates I look around and see kakashi leaning against the large green doors.  I then walk over and lean against the wall. I check the time and it was 6:40 a.m. '20 minutes left' I thought. I then pulled out my book and opened to where my bookmark was.

I walk through through the snow covered forest, I can hear all of my footsteps. I look around and see hawks hovering above, Mostly likely looking for their next prey.  As I continue my journey I see  a man made cave, It's covered with twigs and pine leaves. 

'Who could have made this?' I thought  

I slowly crept to the mysterious cave. I moved the leaves aside and grab my torch. 

That's when I see something, "No that can't be!" I exclaimed dashing over to the mysterious figure laying on the cold stone floor. 

"..."

"huh?"  

"You know, It's not a good idea to read in front of people." Kakashi said 

"what? Are you serious right now?" I said book marking my page and looking at kakashi. 

"hmm, maybe, maybe not. Anyway, it 6:55 a.m.,  The team should be coming soon, so it's best that you pay attention." he replied standing back up and stretching.

"right" I said annoyed 

'Stay strong Y/n, don't let him annoy you, You have a mission to focus on!'  

I placed my book back into my side pouch and stood up and stretched. I then walked over and stood in front of the gate. 

5 minutes later the team arrives and Kakashi says something over the top like usual and the team nods, beginning our journey. 

time skip to half way on the journey because i'm lazy...

'hmmm, something isn't right, we haven't confronted any enemy ninja.'  I then pause and look over at Kakashi who slightly looks over at me slightly and then quickly looks around.  He the moves his hand slightly signaling me to come closer. 

"I'm sure you noticed, We needed to split up for now to cover more ground." He said and I nodded 

I then grabbed my headset and so does kakashi. I then trail back slightly I give a hand signal and take my group Team Tori, to the left. 

My team quickly followed behind. 

I then start to slow down and and I put my right hand up telling my team to stop. I stop on a tree branch. 

'think Y/n think,' I then notice a faint thin silver cord connecting to each tree limb, forming a square. 

'shit!' "Everyone! Move!" I quickly jump and try and move out of the way. I then hear a click noise and the silver cord was pulled.

I then look to my left and see an explosive kunai fly past my face. and I jump to then next branch. 

"Well, Well, If it isn't the Grim Reaper." A distant male voice says laughing. 

I quickly, grab my katana, the voice then grows silent. All I hear is me teammates fighting around me. 

I take a deep breath and close my eyes, listening for a faint crunch or woosh. 

I then open my eyes and quickly grab my marked kunai and launch it at 9 o'clock.  

'haha, got him' I then disappear and reappear behind the male figure, punching him on his lower back. 

"How!?" He screams falling to the ground. I then grab my katana and jump down landing on the him, crushing his stomach. 

I the point my katana at his neck. 

"ha, we you see, you made one mistake, and that was underestimating me. This is the end for you." I then slice his neck and put my pointer and middle finger to my ear "Kakashi, do you hear me?" 

"..."

"Kakashi, I said to you hear me?" I said louder

"yes, I can hear you, you don't need to yell." Kakashi said annoyed 

"My group has been infiltrated my enemy nin, they were waiting for us to split up, watch out they are going to attack your group next, and watch out form random silver cords." I said while running back to what's left of my team. 

"Yeah, Yeah, Just remember to meet us at the checkpoint." Kakashi said ending the conversation 

"Yeah, Yeah, Just remember to meet us at the checkpoint." I said mimicking Kakashi 

"Next time, you make fun of me, remember to  turn off your mic." Kakashi said

"r-right, haha." I said turning off my mic 

'why does this shit always happen to me!' I mentally screamed 

 I then meet my team with my team. 

I then count to see who is left. 

"wait, where's Todoroki at?" I ask 

"Well, about that Cap, he or my not have gotten captured" Luma said nervously 

"And, by chance how do you know this?" I said trying to keep my cool 

"w-w-well, (cough), you see the thing is, I may or may not have seen, Todoroki getting knocked out and then tied up and then dragged away. Hahaha" Luma said scratching the said of her face. 

"WELL, Because YOU decided not to help you teammate, you will be helping to go rescue Todoroki." I said annoyed 

"CAP, ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! IT'S HIS OWN FAULT FOR GETTING CAPTURED!!!" Luma screamed in my face

"everyone, we are moving out, we have to make it to the checkpoint before Team Ro does." I said 

"CAP-" Luma started again but I then gave her the death glare, signaling her to shut the fuck up. 

"honestly, here we go again!" I silently said while rubbing my face. 

"Alright everyone let's go!" I shouted.
