Timeskip: the next day

Your Pov.

I am currently hanging out with Sasuke going over some practice problems, When I hear chatter outside. 

"Hey, Sasuke, I will be right back ok?" I said and he nodded 

"Shisui, who through himself into the Nakano River and killed himself last night left a note." an Uchiha said giving it to Itachi. 

I then walked over and peered over Itachi's shoulder 

I'm tired of missions. If things continue, 

There's no future left for the Uchiha...and for me. 

I can no longer go against this path. 

"Why don't you come out and say it!" Itachi said crumbling the paper 

"You suspect me don't you?" 

"Yeah we do you punk." one said 

"Why you-" I said 

"Stay out of this mutant." one said and Itachi got more pissed 

"Listen, Itachi, Just try and betray the clan and you'll pay big time." another said and they all turned around and activated their sharingan. But, Itachi punched them in the face. 

'Itachi...' I thought and I began to hear footsteps walking towards the door 

"The clan, the clan. You overestimate your own abilities and have no idea about the depth of my own. That's why you're groveling there now." Itachi said 

"Stop, Itachi!" Fugaku-san shouted 

"What's going on? Just wh-" 

I then saw Itachi launch a kunai directly at the Uchiha crest. I then turn around and see Sasuke standing behind me. I then stand next to him and put my hand on his shoulder, telling him not to run out. 

"There's no hope left for this pathetic clan." Itachi said 

"Nii-san! Please stop!" Sasuke shouted and Itachi then fell over on his knees and placed his hands on the ground. 

"Please, forgive my son. He means no harm." Fugaku-san said 

"Tsk, even if he's your son, he can't be trusted especially after the stunt he just pulled."  an Uchiha said and the rest of his group nodded hesitantly.  Fugaku-san then looks over at me a nods. 

"Hey, Sasuke let's get you back inside?" I said grabbing his hand 

"But-" he said in protest 

"Not, know Sasuke, please." I said and he sighed. 

Sasuke then walked back to the table and sat down. 

"Nee-chan? Do you think Nii-san will be ok?" he asked quietly

"Yeah..." I said trying to ease Sasuke's nerves. But, to be honest I wasn't sure what was going to happen myself.  Everything happened so fast, once the Uchiha clan found out, everything started going down hill. What's worse is that this happened in the course of 24 hours. 

I then hear the door slide open and I see Itachi walk in looking at the ground. 

"Hey Sasuke why don't you go upstairs and put on your pajamas?" I said and he nods.  I then wait till he's up the stairs. 

"It-" I then feel him place his head on my shoulder. I the turn around and hugged him. 

"I'm just so tired." he said 

"I know... Itachi." I said my heart beginning to break. 

I then feel Itachi let go and began to walk upstairs. Once he was up the stairs I hear the door slide open to see Mikoto-san. 

"Y/n, can I talk to you for a sec?" She said and I nodded 

"I need a favor from you." 

"yeah?"  I asked 

"Please, watch over Itachi for me, make sure he's ok. I'm so worried about him, every sense word about Shisui's death came out he hasn't said a word to me...I Just talked with Fugaku and he told me what happened... Y-y/n I-" she said now beginning to tear up 

I then gave her a hug and said "You don't have to worry, Mikoto-san, I promise." 

"Thanks." She replied 

'No matter what happens, I will always be there to protect the ones I care about. ' I thought
