The Letter

Kakashi's Pov

It's been a few days since Y/n left on her 'mission.' I continued to test new graduated Genin but, they are all a dissapointment.

'I wonder if Y/n is ok? No, don't think that way. She's fine. Right?' ' I thought worriedly and sighed.

I am currently walking through town when I see Guy running towards me.

"YO, KAKASHI MY ETERNAL RIVAL! CHEER UP!" He said wrapping his arm around my shoulder.

"I don't know what you're talking about." I replied while trying to get out of Guy's hug.

"Look Guy-"

"KAKASHI! LET'S HAVE A RIVAL COMPETITION!" GUY SCREAMED IN MY FACE.

"..."

"I DIDN'T TAKE THAT AS A 'NO', LET'S GO!!!" Guy said grabbing me arm and ran off

"W-wait Guy, slow down!" I shouted

Guy then stopped in the middle of training ground 4.

"Alright, what should we do..." Guy thought

'We'll at least stop shouting.' I sighed

"Let's just play Janken." I said bored

"NO! Janken! We always play that!" Guy shouted and crossed his arms

"Right...Anyway-" I said

"THAT'S IT!!!!" Guy shouted and put his thumb up

"huh?" I said and Guy just grabbed my shoulders and looked directly into my eye.

"Let's see who can sit the longest. It will be so youthful." Guy said

"Uh- huh." I said nervously.

I then sat down and Guy sat behind me and pressed his back against mine.

'I have to find a way out of this.' I thought and reached into my pocket and pulled out Icha Icha Paradise.

"You look very beautiful in that dress." Daiki said

"O-oh, really, t-thank you Daiki-kun~" Hana said

"You know it's such a nice day out, why don't we go for a swim?" Daiki said looking lustfully into Hana's eyes

Hana then brushed by Daiki, swaying her hips and gave him a wink.

"Kakashi, you shouldn't re-"

"Guy, mind your own business." I said

"R-right." Guy

"Guy, You should just give up, you're not going to win." I said while smirking

"Oh, Yeah? Just you wait and see." Guy said and then turned around.

'Yeah, I will, well more like my clone will.' I thought evilly

I then put my book back into my side pocket and began to form hand signs. I made a clone and then shifted my weight slightly and to see if Guy noticed. Once I knew it was ok, I formed three more hand signs and used 'Water style: Disperse.". The clone then took my place and I happily walked off.

I then decided to head intown to get something to eat. I decided to go to Ichiraku Ramen. Once I got there, I sat down on the red bar stools and folded my hands.

"What can I do for you?" The ramen guy said

"One bowl of miso ramen, please." I said

"Coming right up!' He replied

As I'm waiting I feel a presence behind me.

"Kakashi-kun? Is that you?" a voice said

'ugh' I thought and turned around and saw Kami standing there.

"long time no see." I said with no emotion.

"Yes, it really has been a long time hasn't it?" She laughed and poked my shoulder

I then saw her sit down next to me and ordered.

"Soo, where's Y/n at?" Kami asked

"mission." I replied

"Awww, did she leave you? Such a shame..." She said pouting and leaned forward slightly.

"What are you doing?" I asked annoyed

"Just reaching for some chopsticks, no need to be one edge, Kakashi-kun~" She replied

"I have a girlfriend, so please stop." I said

"Whatever do you mean?" She asked

'I'm not playing these games.' I thought in disgust.

I then looked at the ramen guy and he noticed my discomfort and began packaging my meal to go.

I then slowly began to get up when I felt my left arm getting tugged.

"Oh come on, Kakashi-kun, stay and chat." She said rubbing my arm and I smacked her hand off me.

"Don't touch me." I said angrily

I then quickly paid for the meal and left.

As I'm walking back to my apartment I see Sasuke walking towards me.

"Hello, Sasuke." I said

"Kakashi." He said and then reached into his pocket and pulled out a letter. He then gave it to me and walked off.

'What was that about?' I thought and placed the letter into my pocket and continued home.

Once I got home I sat down at the dining room table and began to eat. Once I was down, I pulled out the letter and opened it.

Dear Kakashi,

I know you told me to write to you if anything happened...So, I guess here's the letter?

Anyway, I'm not the best at getting my point across but here goes nothing. A few days ago I reached the hidden rain village and met with Orochimaru and let me tell you...It was very weird! A giant snake ate me and took me into this secret hideout and...

Anyway, I recently found out about what my curse mark was and why I have it. I aslo, began training to harness the curse marks powers. But, I'm not quite there yet to master it.

So, I know you're probably freaking out saying things like 'When are you coming back?" and I will in....uh... a couple years. So, I wanted you to know that I will try and keep in touch during my training. I know this isn't the most ideal thing to happen. But, I promise I will come back, in the meantime please watch over Sasuke and try to get out of the house and socialize with people.

Anyway, I hope that all made sense and If it did I'm sorry....

I then watched the letter burn and turn into ash. I then sat there in silence trying to process what just happened.

'everytime we get somewhere, one of us always runs away.' I thought

"But, I promise. I am here waiting for you to get back." I said out loud.
