Short Timeskip: 4 days 

Your Pov 

It's been almost a week since I last talked with Mikoto-san, and I have could stop thinking about our conversation. So, I then I decided to go and talk with Kakashi, but let me tell you It was very hard. Everytime I would walk towards his house, I would end up bailing. But, today is going to be the day. 

'Yeah, right!" I thought

 'no you got this.'  My inner voice said trying to hype me up. 

I then put on my sandals and decided to head out the door, starting my long journey (but not really) towards Kakashi's house. 

As I walk through the village I see Guy speeding towards me. 

'Oh boy here we go' I thought 

"Yo, Y/n! You're looking very youthful today!" He said winking and giving me a thumbs up.

"Thanks..." I said slowly 

"I noticed recently you have been going over Kakashi's house and I was wondering if you could drop a message for me?" he asked 

"Um, actua-" 

"GREAT! So, tell him to fight me, we haven't had a rival contest in forever, but everytime I try and ask him, he ends up ignoring me, and this one time he almost stabbed me! Good times!" He said nervously laughing 

"haha, yeah..." I said 

"Alright, thanks Y/n, I leaving it up to you!" he shouted while running away

'Right leave it to me." I sighed

I then slowly began my journey. 

timeskip to when you get to Kakashi's house

'alright, Y/n, you got this!' I thought 

knock, knock 

silence 

"Well, looks like he isn't h-" 

"Yo" Kakashi said leaning against the doorframe rubbing his eyes 

"h-hey." I said nervously 

'God, this is so awkward.' I thought internally crying 

"Well, this is a surprise, I didn't think you would actually come up to the door this time." Kakashi said while laughing slightly. 

'WAIT WHAT!' 

"h-huh?" I said now looking Kakashi directly in the eyes (well more like 'eye'). 

Then it clicked in "Wait, you were watching me come to your house!? Why didn't you come out and talk to me!" I said rubbing my face in embarrassment

"Yeah, I was just testing something." He said now standing up and opening the door. 

"So, do you want to come in?" He asked 

"S-sure." I said 

'Why do I keep stuttering!' Internally screaming at myself 

 Then Kakashi moves from the door and I enter. I then quickly look through his house and spot a book laying on a coffee table. 

"Do you want something to drink?" he asked trying to make this less awkward 

"yeah, tea would be good." I said and he nodded 

I watched kakashi disappear into the kitchen, I then sneakily walked over to the coffee table and picked up the book.

'hmm, what's this?' I then turned over the book to the front cover. 'wait I recognize this book!' 

Kakashi then walks back into the living room and then looks at me. 

"sooo, when did you like mystery novels?" I say teasingly, while putting my hand on my hip. 

"I don't know what your talking about." He said looking away 

 "oooooh, really?" I said now showing the book. "Then what's this~" I said 

"h-hey give me that!" He said trying to snatch the book away from me. 

I then proceeded to put the book behind me back, which wasn't a good idea. Kakashi the reached his hands behind my back trying to snatch the book. 

"haha, your not gonna g-aah." I said, then tripping and falling, but, kakashi ended up catching me. 

"thanks.." I said blushing 

"Y-yeah, Y/n, actually I-RING" Kakashi said but, got interrupted by the timer going off. 

I then hear kakashi mumble something and then helped me up. He then walked back into the kitchen. 

'Why did I have to ask for tea!' I thought 

Kakashi, then walks back over with two cups and places them on the table and sits down next to me. 

I then grab the cup, take I sip, and then place it back onto the table. 

"this is really good." I said trying to laugh off my nerves. 

"Yeah." Kakashi said deep in thought 

silence 

"hey, Y/n?" Kakashi slowly asks turning towards me. 

"yeah?" I ask 

"I-I was wondering." He said and then paused and then looked away.

"If you wanted to meet up sometime again or maybe get something to eat?" He asked while peeking out the corner of his eye. 

I then looked back towards him, with shock, which ultimately made Kakashi panic. "w-we don't have too, umm-" 

"Yeah, I'd like that very much. " I said smiling 

"ok." He exhaling. 

We both chatted for another hour or so, but, when it was time to leave you thanked kakashi for the tea and left. You couldn't help but, smile as you quickly walked back home.
