Broken Glass (Kakashi x Reader)

New Recruit, New Missions

Your Pov 

"Alright, everyone listen up! We have a new recruit!" The Anbu recruitment officer shouted. 

Everyone the turned towards the door and saw Itachi walk forward. I tried not to show any emotion, but ultimately failed. 

"Isn't he a bit young to be joining?" an Anbu member whispered 

"Yeah, I didn't think Anbu, recruit people like him." Another said in disgust. 

"Sssh! Or else she will hear you!" someone quickly said. 

I then turned and activated my sharingan, and whispered "She, already heard you." I said in a low menacing voice.  Which spooked the other members, I then turned and deactivated my sharingan, and smiled. 

"You can't help yourself can you." Kakashi whispered next to me. 

"no, not really, I couldn't just let them talk about him like that." I whispered and Kakashi just shakes his head. 

"Y/n, I know you care about him, but you have to let him handle things on his own." Kakashi said and I nodded and whispered "I know" 

I then notice that the Anbu recruitment officer left, and we all got up. Both Kakashi and I walked up and began to give our orders. 

"Alright Team Ro, we will meet at the Anbu Training grounds, in exactly 10 minutes." Kakashi concluded and they got up and walked off. 

"Team Tori,  you are all dismissed for today." I said but, then walked over and tapped on Niko's shoulder. She then turned and faced me, "Yes Captain?" She said calmly. "I need to talk to you in private." I said and she nervously nodded. 

I then walked into a seperate room and waited till everyone disappeared. "Right, the reason I called you hear was to talk about our previous mission. "  

"Did I do something wrong?" She asked and I just shook my head. 

"No not at all, What am about to say stays between us." I said and she nodded 

"There are rumors, that Akira Kai had affiliations with Orochimaru, He made a deal with him, to kidnap young shinobi, with special powers and in return he received special scrolls." I then pause and then look over to Niko. 

"So, are you saying that the sealing scroll we collected has been tampered with?" She asked and I nodded 

"Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. Which is why I need you help, if your up to it?" I asked

"Of course anything." She replied 

"Good, because we are going to have to steal the the sealing scroll." I said plainly 

"What, wait, Captain, we can't do that!" She shouted. I then put my finger to my lips

'Someone's here.' I thought, I then walked out of the room and looked around the corner and saw Luma. 

"Yo, Cap, long time no see, I was just wal-" 

"I thought I told you to go home?" I said while crossing my arms 

"W-well, you see the thing is...Umm, sigh, the truth is I wanted to know what you gals where talking about." she said 

"It doesn't involve you. If I were you I would walk back home and forget you saw or heard anything." I said plainly 

"But, Cap! I'm just as good as her, or even better! We won't you trust me!" She shouted, which began to draw attention in the next room and the surrounding area. 

I then paused and began to pinch the bridge of my nose. 'now, what, I need to handle this lightly, if I tell her no she's going to continue to ask more question. Think, Think, damn, why do I keep thinking of Kakashi! Wait that's it!' 

I then look at Luma, and shove my hands, into my pockets. She just looks up at me with confusion. 

"Later." was all that I said, and walked away. Luma, didn't say anything, she just stood there rubbing her head trying to figure out what 'later' ment. 

I then look towards Niko and she nods. I then walk past everyone and then walk out of the Anbu headquarters. 

'hmm, I wonder how Itachi is doing?' I thought and then proceeded to walk home to start planning.
