Sams POV
I was walking with Thea and Oliver around their house when Thea spoke up, "I mean haven't you two noticed she been acting a little down lately?... What am I saying? Of course you haven't Oliver."
"Well who are you to judge? Since when do you pay attention to how moms feeling, Thea?" Oliver questions.
"Since our stepfather suddenly decided to take a business trip halfway around the world." Thea explains. I wish I could tell her what Felicity and I are looking into.
"I think when someone at Walters pay grade takes a business trip, it's always sudden, Thea. I wouldn't worry." Oliver says.
"Yeah I heard about how they needed someone of his pay grade to go where he is, I'm sure everything is okay." I say as we walk down the stairs.
"Ah, guess who I just hung up with. Janice Bowen. Carter's mother." Moira says as we walk towards her.
"Oh." We all say. "Carter Bowen." Oliver continues. "The perfect son."
"Is he perfect?" Moira questions looking at Oliver.
"According to you." Oliver says. " 'Carter Bowen just won the national chess championship.' 'Carter Bowen is anchoring the debate team.' " Oliver says mocking what Moira used to say.
"I'm sure I didn't make that big of a fuss." Moira says.
"Oliver, Carter just got accented into Harvard." Thea says.
"And Princeton." I finish for her as Oliver turns to look at use with a supposed look on his face.
"Well that's because Carter got a perfect score on his SATs." Oliver says.
"Now, how did he manage to study and cure cancer?" Thea says as I look at her with a mocking thinking face as Oliver has a mocking surprised face.
"Alright. Alright. Alright. I get it. I get it. Well, they're coming for brunch and I expect you to be there." Moira says.
"I have plans." Oliver says.
"That's fine. Brunch is tomorrow." Moira explains.
"Inches from a getaway." Thea says as I smile.
"Well you too Thea." Moira says looking at Thea.
"Snap." Oliver says making us look at him slightly confused.
"Nobody says that anymore." Thea says.
"Yeah, you know Thea I would love to be here for brunch but.. I just don't want to." I say making her look at me.
"You're coming too Sam." Moira says walking away.
"Ah, i thought she was out of ear shot." I say sighing as Oliver and Thea smile at me amused.
