Sacrifice

Oliver's POV

Malcolm Merlyn had been talking to me after kidnapping me and hanging me by my arms.

"Oh and your friend Sam?" Merlyn brings up.

I try to escape again, "Don't talk about her!" I tell him.

"But you must be wondering why I targeted her." He says. Not giving me a chance to respond before continuing. "Well, we needed a man in the Glades and, well, Mark Amor was more than willing to do anything for money. I was only scared that he would babble in one of his drunken states, so I had to keep her away from you and your family."

"Does he know that you plan on leveling the pet of the Glades him and Sam live in?" I ask angry.

"Of course not. If he new he wouldn't have helped." He tells me. "And no one can stop what's about to come. Not even the vigilante." He walks out.

Sams POV

Felicity and I had been at Queen Consolidated working through the information we had gathers from Merlyn Global. On our way out I call Dig. "Yeah, Sam, I got him." He tells me.

"Thank god." I say looking at Felicity and nodding making her let out a breath of relief. "Is he okay?"

"Mostly." He informs me.

"Okay. We're on our way." I tell him hanging up.

"Miss Smoak. Sam." Lance calls after us causing us to stop. "Where are you two off to in such a hurry?"

He had pulled us into the interview room one at a time. Felicity went first. When she was done she looked at me wide eyes probably scared about being in a police office. Lance then calls me into the interview room.

"Please." He tells me letting me in the room. "Take a seat."

"You know, I think I'd rather stand." I feel him. He slams the door making me sit.

"You're not exactly a hardened criminal, are you?" He asks rhetorically.

"No, I'm not any kind of criminal." I reassure him.

"What do you call computer hacking?" He asks.

"Hobby?" I guess. "That I do not engage in."

"Hey, I got a whole mess of computer gobbledygook that I don't understand but it says other wise." He informs me. "I had my tech guys go through your computer at Queen Consolidated. You used it to hack into Blackhawk Squad security to research arrows shipped to a company called Sagittarius and to analyze a Ayer sample to tie back to a Vertigo drug lab." He sit down. "These are all cases involving the Hood. Tell me, Sam. What am I thinking?" His phone then goes off. "Saved by the bell. Excuse me." He answers his phone. "It's funny you should call. I got one of your trusty sidekicks sitting right in front of me." He gets up. "What? Well, now you're just trying to have some fun with me." I watch as he hangs up the phone.

"Sounds like you have bigger problems than me." I say.

"Don't leave town." He tells me.

"You know, I used to think the vigilante was a criminal too but it seems to me, whoever he is, he's willing to sacrifice an awful lot to help the people of this city." I tell him standing in the door way ready to leave. "Kind of makes him a hero, doesn't it?" I then leave.

I see Felicity waiting for me. She gets up and we walk in silence until we get out side, "How was it?" She asks.

"If Oliver hadn't called..." I trail off. "I don't know what I would have done."

"I didn't realize we had done everything under your name until Lance told me." She tells me.

"Yeah, me neither." I tell her as we head to her car.
