Calamity

Explanation

Your heart stops as you lay your eyes on the scene before you. This woman is in your home, making pizza with your husband, in your clothes, listening to your song while they make out. Very intensely too. You look at Spencer who looks apologetic, but all you feel is pain. You hope and pray that there's some explanation as you try your hardest not to scream and cry.

"Y/n, how did you-"

"Stop." Interrupts the woman. Spencer looks at her as she stares you down. She walks over to him and whispers something in his ear.

"Thank you, you can go now." Says Spencer to the agent who brought you in. He nods and leaves the room.

"Well this is nice. I finally get to meet the girl I've heard so much about." Says the woman.

"Who are you?" You ask, glaring at her.

"I'm surprised Spencer has never told you about me. I'm Cat Addams, it's nice to meet you." She says with a sarcastic smile. You feel a shiver go down your spine at the name.

"I know who you are." You say. "You're the woman who framed Spencer and almost killed his mom."

"That's right! You two have a shared knack for this guessing game."

"Cat, let me go to her." Says Spencer.

"No." She responds very quickly. "I may have framed her but you have always been my primary target Spencie."

"Why are you listening to her?" You ask him. He looks back at you again a little bit sad. You want to feel sympathetic but you can't.

"It's complicated y/n, she's very dangerous and if I-"

"Obviously she's not so dangerous if you're comfortable making out with her while you two recreate our fourth date." You interrupt. Your eyes burn and you feel tears start to form. Spencer doesn't speak and just looks down like he's ashamed. It's silent while you look away too.

"Well this is awkward." Says Cat. You look up at her while she turns off the music. "But we aren't here to sit in silence, we're here for a family reunion."

"What are you talking about?" You ask annoyed. Cat just smiles and looks over at the both of you.

"I'm giving you two the chance to catch up! You've only gotten to talk to each other separated by glass, I thought you would appreciate it." She says. "But no touching. You can get closer to each other if you want though."

She smiles mischievously which makes you a little anxious but you ignore it. You immediately walk up to Spencer and stop about six inches away from him. Tears start to fall as you look him dead in his regretful eyes.

"What the hell was that?" You ask. Your voice almost breaks but you catch it. He looks at you apologetically again.

"It's not what you think y/n. I can't explain it now, but you have to trust me I would never-"

"No! I don't want to hear excuses! Explain to me why you were just making out with the psychotic woman who framed your pregnant wife and almost killed your mom now." You say, your voice raised. He just looks into your eyes with a frown. He glances over at Cat who's smiling at the scene, and then back to you sadly.

"I really can't tell you. I'm so sorry." He says quietly. It sounds genuine and desperate, which starts to make you feel bad. But then you remember he's in the wrong here. You don't know why he did it, but whenever you think about it you fill with rage and sadness. He can see it in your eyes and you can tell he feels terrible.

Good.

"Well hopefully you can think of a time to tell me sooner than later. Because if not I don't want you visiting me anymore." You say. Spencer's eyes widen in surprise as you turn around and walk back to the front of the apartment. You look at Cat who's eyes are also widened, but in amusement. "I want to go back."
