Good Days Pt. 2

You walk into headquarters, feeling the best you've been in a long time. You were right. Talking to Emily made you feel so much better, and you can tell you're on the path to acceptance. You should do something to thank her.

You walk towards the safe room, dreading the idea of watching tv for the rest of the day. It was nice to feel fresh air again. As you walk to the back of headquarters you pass by the big glass BAU doors. From where you're standing nobody can see you, but you can see the team. They're all sitting at their desks doing their work like usual. Penelope is talking to Derek about something very urgent, judging from the way she's moving her hands and the width of her eyes. Spencer is reading a newspaper at his desk. In front of him is a picture of you and him in Hawaii and the ultrasound from your last appointment. It makes you smile.

Go say hi. It will make all of their days.

That voice in your head gives you a piece of advice that doesn't make you hate yourself for the first time. You ponder the decision, not sure if it's the right time. Your heart kind of races at the thought. But there's no time like the present right?

You pick up your pace and walk towards the doors. You push them open, the familiar feeling washing over you. Nobody notices you there because they're all facing away from you. So you quietly walk up behind Spencer and wrap your arms around him.

"Can we go out tonight?" You ask.

Spencer whips his head around, his eyes widening when he hears your voice. He looks you up and down and smiles so widely when he sees you standing over him. He stands up and almost looks speechless.

"What are you doing here?" He finally asks. The rest of the team then turns around, Penelope gasping when she sees you. She immediately jumps off of Derek's desk and rushes towards you in her fluffy pink high heels.

"OH MY GOD! Y/N!" She yells. You smile at her excitement but she stops before almost tackling you with a hug. "Oh wait, can I give you a hug? Do I have permission?"

"Yes Penelope, you're good. Thanks for asking." You say with your arms extended. She smiles and gives you a big warm hug, probably the best one you've had in a while.

"I've missed you so much sugar! I'm so happy you're here, it's like when Michael and Jane were reunited." She says. You laugh and continue to hold on tight to her.

"Before or after he lost his memory?" You ask. She keeps your arms in her grasp but moves her head from your shoulder to the front of your face.

"Before. We all know hill billy Michael would have never worked for Jane." She says. You laugh again and she lets go of you, still beaming.

"So pretty girl, can I expect to destroy you in another night of bowling soon?" Asks Derek with a smile.

"In your dreams Derek. I could get three strikes against you with one hand behind my back."

"Would you like to put your money where your mouth is?" He asks while going in for a hug. You laugh and walk into his strong arms. You almost forgot how good his cologne smells. Once you separate from him JJ approaches you.

"It's been weird not having you around." She says smiling. You give her a hug too. You forgot that JJ's hugs are also really nice. Penelope's are warm and kind, but JJ has that motherly feeling with hers.

"I've missed you guys. Spencer has kept me updated on what's been going on, but I miss catching up." You say. They all smile in agreement and Spencer comes closer to you and holds your hand. He's really happy that you're here.

"Doctor Reid, it's nice to see you again." Says Doctor Lewis. She extends your hand and you shake it while grinning.

"You too Doctor Lewis. Sorry we couldn't meet at a better time." You say.
