Two Months Later
•••••The last two months have been pretty good. Not the best, but not the worst either.
The team hasn't had much luck with finding Cat. Because of that you and Spencer have had to continue to stay at headquarters. To be more accurate you have had to stay but Spencer refused to leave you alone. It hasn't been too bad because Hotch let you bring things like your tv from your apartment. You spend your days watching Fresh Prince, hanging out with the team, and doing online maternity classes. You wish you could do them in person but you can't risk it.
Since you're seventeen weeks pregnant your baby bump is really starting to show. Before it was just firm. You like to rub your stomach while you watch tv which gives you little moments of happiness. Meanwhile, Spencer stops by the room multiple times a day to see you. He memorized a whole book about health during pregnancy so he asks a bunch of questions while he gives you shoulder and foot massages.
"Don't feel bad, your ankles are going to be getting swollen soon so you need proper blood flow." He says when you insist that he goes back to work. "Now have you had any sharp pains in in your lower stomach?"
He really has been the best husband though. Whenever you get strange cravings (like pickles and cream cheese or apples with marshmallow fluff) he always goes to the store to get it for you. When you get upset or overwhelmed he's always patient and understanding, making sure that you're ok. When you get bad mood swings like feelings of loneliness or anxiety he stays in the room with you and you play board games or watch movies. Your favorite game to play with him is Clue, because it's the only game he can never seem to win.
"I accuse Ms. Scarlet with the lead pipe in the ballroom." You said one night as you two sat on the floor. Spencer set you up with pillows and blankets to support you while you sit while he stayed criss crossed with his miss matched socks. You opened the small envelope and it revealed that you were correct. "Read 'em and weep lover boy." You said as you threw the cards on the board.
"This doesn't make any sense! How are you so good at this?" He asked.
"I've been perfecting my strategy since I was in fourth grade, I am literally the Clue master." You said. Spencer opened his mouth to speak but you interrupted him. "Before you say there's no strategy to this game, I'm going to stop you and say that there definitely is or else I wouldn't beat you every time."
He laughed and extended his arms towards the board in playful frustration. "But I'm a criminal profiler, I should be able to win at least once." He said. "Also, I would like to add that it is very unlikely a woman would beat someone to death with a lead pipe."
"How do you know she beat him to death? What if she just knocked him out?" You asked.
"Come on. There is a pool of blood on the floor of the billiard room, if someone in this game were to kill with a lead pipe they would obviously beat him to death." He said. After making fun of him for pronouncing billiard room "bill-ee-ard" room you guys watched some unsolved mysteries and went to bed. That was one of your best nights here.
But now you're sitting on the bed with JJ, Emily, and Penelope eating Chinese food while you talk about Jane the Virgin.
"You have to admit that Rafael is hotter though." Says Emily.
"Yes! He's like a fresh loaf of bread and each bite just fills you up, but you never want to stop." Says Penelope. You all laugh at yet another one of her strange analogies.
"He was attractive but Michael and Jane always loved each other. They shared more than a connection with a child which makes them a better couple." Says JJ.
