Chapter Eleven

(Jason's POV)

I sat there shocked as Chiron looked at Rocky and said that... "You are suppose to be dead." He said the exact same thing to me when I first saw him. Rocky and Leo looked at each other and spoke at the same time, "What?!"

Chiron looked at Rocky then Leo, "Mister Valdez, please sit down. I'll explain more when you do." Leo sunk down in a chair as Chiron looked at Rocky again.

"Roxanne Wisteria Valdez. I was told that you were dead." She looked at Chiron, stunned. "Who said that I was dead?" Chiron looked at her, "Your Tía," She stood up angrily and I saw Leo tense, watching her movements. "Your Tía that isn't really your family." She growled and Leo touched her shoulder gently.

"Do you really know who Tía Rósa was, Roxanne?" Chiron asked as Leo had his hand on her shoulder. She closed her eyes for a minute then sighed in defeat, "Yes, I knew who she was... Tía Rósa was Hera in diguise."

I was stunned, "Hera?" Chiron nodded, "Yes Jason, The Queen of Olympus was their evil babysitter." Leo snorted in digust, "Makes since why she did all that really horrible stuff to us."

Rocky leaned against the wall, anger radiating from her. "She once tried making us disturb a snake but Ma quickly pulled us away." Leo nodded, "And she also put us in hot coal, then Mom pulled us out of there."

I noticed a difference between Rocky and Leo. Even though they are twins, their accents were quite different. Leo's accent was more city and sarcastic. Rocky's accent had a southern twist and a little slang to it. Which I kinda liked. Made her more of a rebel than an outsider.

I snappes back to reality when Rocky was leaning close to me, her back facing me. Leo was against the wall while Chiron was looking at the door. I peered around Rocky and saw a red-head girl. I heard about her from around camp. Rachel Elizabeth Dare, supposedly the new oracle.

"Chiron..." Rachel said as she nearly fell. Rocky caught her quickly as greenish smoke surrounded Rachel and she stood up by herself. Rocky backed away, scared, and I stood up then put a comforting arm around her waist.

Rachel's eyes became green and she spoke, but it sounded like five Rachels speaking at once. Her eyes on me,

"Child of Lightning,
Beware the Earth.
The Giants' Revenge,
The Seven Shall Birth.
The Fire and The Ice,
Shall Break The Cage.
And Death Unleash,
Through Hera's Rage."

(Leo's POV)

I caught Rachel before she hit the table, those words she spoke still running through my head. I sat her down in a chair while Chiron looked stunned.

Rocky was curled in Jason's arms, nervous and scared. I couldn't blame her, that was some creepy stuff. "It looks like Jason has a quest." Chiron finally spoke. Rocky looked at Chiron, "She's awakin'." I looked at her, "Who's she?"

"Mother Earth." Rocky said as Jason turned pale. She stood up and looked at me as I spoke, "Isn't she the one with flowers in her hair, lives in the woods, and has animals doing her laundry?"

Rocky facepalmed herself, "No Leo, that's Snow White." Chiron looked at all three of us, "Mother Earth is Gaea. The mother of the Giants," Chiron turned to Jason. "You may choose two people to accompany you on this quest. Although I think you already have volunteers."

I smirked and let fire dance in the palm of my hand while Rocky swirled a miniture snowstorm with her finger. Jason smiled and looked at us. "Thanks guys." Chiron looked at us again, "We will have the cabin counselors meet in the arena before your departure."
