idea basically:
-okay so both kids grew up in orphanages
-different ones cuz doro's in one with nuns
-but wat if bacc then those orphanages were comrades or some sort
-n at some point they were liek
-"yo let these kids meet sum new kids" n yea
(idfk if orphanages do that but wtv)
-so that happens n maybe these two meet cuz
-imagine just trent passing by doro whos like
-plotting how to escape the orphanage
-n he was liek "seems interesting imma join her"
-and thas how they met n they ended up getting along quite well
-then after few days or so the orphanages liek visiting day is over
-n they never got to see each other again
-this usually happens every year but trent was adopted a few months after that
-so they didnt see each other again until well
-dotb occured
-trent n doro meet n trent at her was like "dude u havent changed at all"
-cuz to me doro gives that cheery, hype, quirky girl vibes even as kid
-except now that shes grown shes more mature n all but still same vibes
-but doro towards trent be like "dude u fkin c h a n g e d"
-cuz i imagined bacc then trent was liek
-that one quiet kid who never rlly socialized n was a loner
-n now at dotb hes liek a fuckin gremlin and c o n f i d e n c e
(wish i had that confidence lmaoaoaoaoaoooo)
-and maybe theres some point in the story where liek
-they decide to hang out, catch up on som random story stuff of their life
-and maybe at som point it becomes deep n personal 
-then at one point doro goes "wouldve it been better if i had changed"
-n trent be liek "yo bitch wtf noooo ure fkin great the way u r oke"
-then smth like this cconvo happens:
trent: i may have changed a lot but sometimes change isnt all that great too yknow, sometimes i just wish i was that quiet kid before
dorotea: understandable..... but yknow.... confidence aint that bad n youre much livelier now frok what i remember. back then u just hum n nod with wtv i say n now look at you, fkin fabulous n confidence man
-and prob lesson in end is "youre you and thats what matters"
-liek to yall fam, someone be there in ur life loves u n lieks u for who u are n for u being you n u gotta believe in urself that u is gud enough oke, lov yo friends n love yourself, even if u may have problems n shit but still try my guys

-so theres this thing called star tears disease
-its basically liek hanahaki disease 
-it's a fictional disease born from unrequited love
-patients cry out stars accompanied by a twinkling/chiming sound. stars are of different colors. it can lead to colorblindness, blindness, or worse, memory loss
-as you can see

-who gets em? marino because sacRIFICE OF bEING A R T I S T
-unrequited love for marino cuz idk i feel like ontario doesnt have any feelings towards him yet
-n marino is a mess with relationships so to me he likely falls first
-n whoop dee do fUCKIN sTAR TEARS HERE WE GO
-it starts off casual maybe marino n hiroaki are messing with each other again
-n maybe hiro mightve triggered smth in mari that caused mari to think smth about ontario
-then tears start comin n they all sparkly n star-like 
-hiro is like "oh shit dude wtf is with ur tears" but marino brushes it off
-n since mari doesnt show much care about it hiro goes like "lmaoke"
-but hiro searches it up online cuz the bitch cares
-liek no one can mess with this fkin gremlin than him
-then he realizes wat it can do n since mari doesnt care hes like "haha idiot"
-but as days pass he sees mari's condition like getting worse and worse
-like he sees him bump into shit more often
-or get confused on wat colour he uses during painting
-or him tending to forget a lotta shit even if it happened like a few days ago
-then finally worry gets to hiro *hard* n he finally confronts mari about it
-smth smth like:
hiroaki shoves marino to a wall, gripping the collar of their clothes as he just screams and yells his friend to snap out of it. they're just screaming back and forth but it isn't like their usual banter, it was a real fight this time. "LET HIM GO ALREADY!" "NO!"then hiroaki hears it; the sound of twinkling tears streaming down marino's face. it hurt him. he may hate him, but he never wanted what's worse for him. "stop it," he begs. "STOP IT DAMNIT!" he hated this. out of all the people marino could've fallen for, why him? he wanted the best for him. "w-why...?" shakingly, he asks.it ached his heart when he saw his lips crack into a smile, the corners of his eyes crinkling with star-like tears streaming. then he answers, "because i love him."
-hiroaki just being like "DUDE LET HIM GO, YOULL LOSE YOUR EYESIGHT, YOUR MEMORIES MAYBE, AND POSSIBLY EVERYTHING"
-then mari's like "no, i could never let him go. with such a masterpiece god has created, beautiful as he, how could i"
