Chapter 8

Luke's POV

After Lara suggests we leave Ashton and Daniella alone we all leave to another room in the house to call Lara on Michael’s computer. I was really looking forward to talking to Dani and seeing her smile, not in a I’m in love with you kind of way, but more of a, I’m glad to see you happy kind of way. And also her smile is gorgeous and it really is like no other smile I have ever seen. But I can’t think like that anymore not if I’m trying to get over her. We get into Michael’s room and he immediately opens up his laptop and calls Lara, and of course she answers immediately.

“Hi!” Lara says blushing at Michael I assume, and waving her hands.

“Hello.” Michael replies back.

“I’m sorry I made you guys move I just felt like we needed to give them some privacy you know. I’m worried about Dani she seems lonely without him.” Lara says abit sadly.

“Same. Ash hasn’t been himself lately. Dani told me to look after him but there is only so much I can do. He is a very stubborn fellow.” Calum says.

“Daniella didn’t see the message I sent you right? About Ash being worried and you making sure she was okay and stuff like that right? He would kill me if he knew I told you that.” Michael says.

“No she didn’t don’t worry. It’s just she told me about this nightmare that she had on the plane and she had a nightmare last night. I mean she didn’t tell me but I knew she did because she was sweating and jerking around in her sleep.” Lara replies. Shit. Dani is having nightmares. She should never have nightmares she is too innocent, too sweet, to amazing to be having nightmares.

“Wait Dani is having nightmares?” I ask a bit too worriedly. Calum looks at me and he gives a quick smirk and he puts his hand on my back and he mouths “I’m sure she’s fine Luke." Calum knew I still had feelings for her and that I was trying hard to get rid of them but he also knew that I was worried about her as well. I was worried she was going to feel lonely without Ashton, but I didn’t know she was going to have nightmares.

“We are going out tonight with a couple of friends so maybe it’ll get her mind off of things.” Lara says smiling again.

“Wait you’re going out with friends tonight?” Michael asks a bit confused.

“Yeah with some of our friends from school. She hasn’t seen them in a while so we are gonna go have a fun night out.” Lara says.

“Will there be other guys there?” Michael asks.

“Yeah some of our guy friends will be there but don’t worry Dani has absolutely no interest in any of them and she even told me that she did not want to look hot tonight, even though she totally could look smoking-” Lara was right she really could “just so that she can avoid being hit on and the drama. She said and I quote ‘last time I went out things didn’t end well.’ I mean what happened last time she went out, she must’ve been with you guys?” Lara finishes. Michael has become red with jealousy and him and Calum both look up at me and I look down to my feet.

“It was nothing.” Calum says and I look up at him and he gives me a reassuring nod. I still couldn’t believe I did that, but even though I was drunk and I punched my best friend that night, somehow that kiss was still...perfect. Her lips were soft and smooth and her lips locked perfectly with mine. I remember the first time she walked in with Ashton into our hotel room. My heart skipped a beat when I saw her, she was so breathtaking. I remember trying to convince myself she wanted to be with me which is absolutely stupid. God I was such a fucking idiot. I remember when she left to go to Ashton’s room I felt something I had never felt before, I was anxious, I was jealous.
