The bar is loud, not as loud as the club, but still loud enough to be a bit overwhelming. The lighting was dim and on the left side of the bar there were rows and rows of booths filled with groups of people chattering and on the right side there was a dance floor. I smile a bit thinking back at Ashton and I dancing. Our bodies close together, our torso touching. And then I giggle to myself thinking about his ridiculous drunk dancing and the way he tried to impress me. He was always finding ways to make me smile.

“Dani!” a high squeal startles me and before I can say anything the person wraps their arms around me causing me to stumble a bit. She holds me tight and shakes me back and forth. I didn’t know who it was but then seeing her dark wavy hair I realized it was my friend Meg. Meg and I weren’t the greatest of friends, we only really talked from time to time but still she was a nice person to have around. “Hi Meg.” I say a bit awkwardly, I wasn’t expecting this big of a reaction from her seeing me. She let’s go off me and smiles. “How are you doing?” She asks.

“I’m fine thank you...and you?” I reply.

“I’m just fabulous. Come on let’s get this party started.” Meg grabs me by the hand and pulls me to the area where everyone was. Why do people keep pulling me around? I turn back to find Lara giggling at me as she follows us.

“Meg do you know who’s all here?” I ask as she tugs me.

“Oh you know Lauren, Riley, Teresa, Austin, and Peter.” once she says that I pause and she stumbles a bit making a grunt noise. I force my hand out of hers and stare at her.

“Peter? You guys invited Peter?” I ask frustratingly.

“Well yeah I thought you guys were friends?” Meg says a bit sadly. She must not know, but then again we never really speak. I take a deep sigh, I don't want to get her involved with my drama. I was done with drama. The only thing I wanted to worry about was Ashton, nothing else. I shake my head reassuringly.

“Yeah no we are...I was just surprised he’d be here is all.” I say with a fake smile. I did not want to see him at all. “Just give me one sec Meg, I need to talk to Lara.” I say and Meg gives me a quick hug and nods as she walks towards the booth where everyone was sitting. Once I turn away from them my face becomes red with anger and distraught.

“What’s wrong?” Lara says running towards me and putting her hands on my shoulders.

“Peter is here.” I say quietly.

“What?” she asks.

“Peter is here.” I say louder. She peeks over my shoulder and looks back at me.

“Who invited him?” Lara asks angrily.

“I don’t know.” I say my voice shaky with anger.

“We don’t have to stay Dani-”

"No it’s fine. I can handle it. Plus if Ashton finds out I left early he’ll ask me questions and worry about me and I could already tell he was a bit upset I was going out tonight.” I say. Before Lara  can say something back I hear a voice that makes me shiver.

“Hey.” Peter says. I fake a smile again, I might as well practice since I will be doing that all night, and I look at him.

“Hi Peter.” I say emotionless. Peter was tall and lanky with dark brown hair and deep dark blue eyes. He had a fair complexion and he was the kind of guy who could walk into a room and make all the ladies swoon.

“Can I talk to you for a second?” He asks. Are you kidding me? He wants to talk to me? After he was such an asshole.

“Peter I don’t think that’s the best idea.” Lara snaps.
