Ashton's POV

Calum and Daniella whisper to each other the whole rest of the way and it takes every part of me not to want to shove Calum out of the way so that I could be comforting Dani instead of him. I just wish I knew what the hell they could possibly be talking about. If I did something wrong shouldn’t she be wanting to talk to me. This is our problem not Calum’s. Luke is very quiet and he hasn’t said anything this whole car ride. In fact barely anyone has spoken to me since Dani went haywire. I look over to Luke who is staring out the window and I nudge him a little.

“Luke?” I whisper. He turns to look at me but he immediately looks away. “What are they talking about?” I ask and Luke lets out a deep sigh and as he turns to look at me he finishes rolling his eyes.

“I don’t know.” Luke says a bit agitated.

“Yes you do Luke tell me.” I say.

“No. Look Ashton you need to learn patience okay. Daniella needs her space just let her be and you’ll figure it out later.” Luke says looking away.

“How come she is talking to Calum then if she needs her space?” I ask.

“What she’s not allowed to talk to anyone besides you?” Luke hisses.

“No I’m not saying that. You know what forget it.” I say and I lean my head against the window and I watch the Downtown buildings dart by. We finally get back to the hotel and everyone gets out of the van except for me. I sit there for a second wondering what the fuck I should do. When we get in the hotel room do I talk to her? Do I leave her alone in the room? Do I ask her what’s wrong? I have no clue. I take a deep breath in and I get out of the van. Dani and the guys aren’t in the lobby so I assume that they’ve already gone up. The elevator door opens and I press the button to our floor and before the door can close all the way someones hand stops it from closing and rushes into the elevator.

“Made it just in time.” I say emotionless. “What floor?” I ask and the guy says,

“Already have it pressed.” I don’t look at him but from the sound of his voice I can tell he is young. “What brings an Aussie like you to Houston?” He says with almost a mysterious voice.

“I’m in a band. We’re here on tour.” I reply a bit annoyed by him. God this elevator was so slow.

“Interesting. You must go down to L.A. a lot then huh?” the guys asks.

“Yeah.” I say gritting my teeth. I don’t want to talk to this guy I want to talk to Daniella.

“You have a house down there?” He asks and I clench my hands thinking about what happened.

“Yeah we do. But it recently got broken int-” the elevator door opens and the guy pats me on the shoulder as he walks out of the elevator.

“See you around.Drummer boy.” the guy says as he places his hands in his pockets and walks away. Now that I see him from the back he was definitely around my age. He was tall, lanky, and had jet black hair almost darker than Cal’s. How the fuck did he know I was a Drummer? He must’ve known who I was and was just asking me those shit questions to be annoying. And what the hell was that “see you around” bullshit. I will not see that guy around he pisses me off and I don’t even know him. I shake off that loser from my head and I run over to our hotel room and I stand there for a moment thinking about what I should do. I just shake my head and knock lightly. “Dan?” I say softly but loud enough so that she can hear me. I don’t hear and answer and I’m about to knock again when the door slowly opens and I see her. She opens the door all the way and then she folds her arms and walks back over to the beds. I close the door softly so that it doesn’t slam. And I walk slowly over to her. I don’t sit down next to her because after what happened at the office it seems as if she doesn’t even want to be near me. Daniella looks down at her hands and she rubs them together. She looks back up at me and I can see her breathing. “Dan you know that if something is wrong you can tell me-”
