okay first I'd like to acknowledge that the title of this is a DOOZY.
and second I'd like to go on record and say that beauty and the beast was the absolute most basic choice they could've picked. Disney own the rights to so many things YET they decided to go with Beauty and the beast... ok.
Anyways, now for what I'm actually here to talk about: the casting of beauty and the beast in the second season of hsmtmts.
Here's what I think the cast is gonna be and then I'll elaborate
Belle: Nini (🙄) Beast: Probably Ricky Gaston: EJ Mrs. Potts: Ashlyn Plumette: Gina Lumiere: Seb or I GUESS ABF's French exchange student Cogsworth: idk howie The Wardrobe (sorry I don't know her name): Kourtney, the hint that Miss Jenn wanted time use her voice leads me to believe this Chip: now if ABF's character gets lumiere THIS is gonna be Seb Belle Understudy: probably Lily LeFou: Asher Angel's character Jackson (I think that's his name)
So I may be really off on this considering they're introducing the new "rival" school and some of these new characters might be at that school so idk. We also don't know what's gonna happen with Nini at YAC.
But I put Nini as belle because this is Disney, they are predictable. They had Alex win the family wizard competition, Hannah Montana reveals her identity to a whole state and have them promise to keep it a secret, Teddy Duncan ends up at Yale or whatever, and a bunch of other cheesy stuff.
The only time they did something unpredictable was in Lemonade Mouth and that was because they were following an (excellent) book.
Anyways back to defending my cast. Ricky is beast cause duh if Nini is belle even tho it should be EJ.
Gina as Plumette because it is a DANCING 👏🏼 ROLE 👏🏼 I just don't think Nini could pull it off
Ashlyn as Mrs. Potts is obvious
EJ as Gaston because Ricky is Beast
Obviously now that they've introduced a French exchange student he's for sure gonna be Lumiere but I wish it was gonna be Seb
They've introduced Howie so that they now have more boys and cogsworth was the only ?
I don't know the Wardrobe's formal name but it's probably gonna be Kourt due to what I said about what Miss Jenn said about Kourt's voice. Even though she could also be a much better Belle than Nini.
Since the French kid is gonna be Lumiere I'm guessing that'll land Seb as Chip
And they introduced Asher Angel to play LeFou to EJ's Gaston I just know it.
Anyways you don't have to agree with me, I don't even agree with me. But this is just what my time in casting and my time watching Disney has led me to believe.
