Lily smiled brightly in the mirror, the first day of high school had finally arrived, and she could not be more ecstatic. She had planned her outfit perfectly (jeans and cute top) while also packing extra clothes for Cheerio try-outs.

Yes, Lily was to fulfill her life dream of becoming a Cheerio.

She came downstairs for her first day, her older sister Beth was eating breakfast and she had a plate of waffles waiting for her.

She was a little but annoyed that Beth would be her chauffeur to school, but she wasn't going to complain too much as long as she's getting there.

"Gonna audition for glee club lil' sis?" Beth asked with a full-mouth.

Lily rolled her eyes and took a seat. "Maybe. I don't know. Depends on how Cheerio's tryouts go." She shrugged and took a sip of milk.

Beth snickered, "Don't waste your time with those bottle blonde's. Join glee! You're bound to get in and you'll love it. You have a beautiful voice."

Lily gave her sister a look, "Like I said. Depends on tryouts." She got up and took her plate to the sink, proceeding to grab Beth's.

"Suit yourself." Beth shrugged. "Ready to go?" She asked, grabbing her keys. Lily slung her backpack on her back.

"Just about!"

"Then let's head out!"

Time went slowly, Cheerios tryouts couldn't seem to come soon enough. She waited through the introductions of each class, counting down the minutes.

Finally, it was time.

She was the first one there and changed, and on top of it all, she cheered circles around those other girls.

When the list went up three days later, she was the first name listed.

She practically jumped with joy and spent her years always having a spot in the team.

But something felt wrong. While she was already bending over backwards for her classes and Cheerios, something still wasn't right.

She knew what it was, glee club.

She had a pull to join, and it wasn't Beth.

She auditioned, and got in, of course.

She loved it, and every soul in the club, but her heart also belonged to the Cheerios.

By her senior year, she was the whole package.

Valedictorian, a secure spot in the Cheerios, and an important role in glee club Lily felt that she had finally found herself.

She was a little of her mom, and a little of her dad, and as much as she hated to admit it, a little of Beth.
