If there was one thing Barbra Patti Hudson did not want to be known as, it was Rachel Berry's daughter.

She had no desire to be be her mom or anything like her mom. She wanted to be liked, loved, and she wanted to be the one throwing the slushies, not receiving them.

To join the glee club was social suicide, still. But she had no choice.

No matter how hard she tried not to be like her mom, there was always one thing that she would share with Rachel that she could never get rid of.

Her voice.

When she opened her mouth, pure magic came out. People had praised her her entire life for singing so well, even having a short-lived Broadway career as a child. So if there was one thing she had to do, it was audition for glee.

She didn't know why she felt so nervous. Not that many people would be judging her audition, yet she so wanted to be liked by the peers sitting in the audience seats.

"Barbra Hudson?" She heard Beth Puckerman's voice, a voice she knew so very well, call out. She stepped out on stage and and smiled.

"It's Baby." She said.

Mr. Schue cocked his head, "Baby?"

She smiled, "Um yeah, it's my nickname that I prefer to go by." She said.

Mr. Schue nodded and scribbled down the note. "Well okay Baby, show us what you got."

The selection she chose was from, of course, Funny Girl. Even though she desperately tired not to be like her mom, the one thing the two shared in commons were their voices and love for Funny Girl.

She had chosen to sing the song "Funny Girl."

When the song was done, she looked at Mr. Schue and raised her eyebrows, the students (including her brother Jackson) were whooping and hollering and applauding.

She smiled nervously, "Did I make it?"

Mr. Schue laughed, "Baby that was amazing! Angelic! Absolutely phenomenal. Of course you've made it." She smiled and nodded once before exiting off the stage.

On her way out, she was stopped by a girl. "You were really good." The girl commented.

Barbra smiled, "Thanks."

The girl extended her hand, "I'm Micayla."

"Barbra," she accepted the hand, "But I go by Baby."

Micayala smiled, "Well Baby, I think we're going to be great friends."

"Micayala Abrams?" Mr. Schue called out.

"Gotta blast! Wish me luck." Micayala ran out of stage.

"Luck!" Barbra called out after her and then promptly exiting the auditorium.

As she stepped out, two large football players passed carrying slushies. Baby instantly grew nervous. Sooner or later, she would be slushied.

Nervousness filled her insides and suddenly a fear overcame her.

No one is going to like me if I'm in glee club!

She thought. She ran down the halls trying to avoid all the eyes that felt like they were staring. She found herself in front of the sign-up board, trying to erase her name off the glee club sign up sheet. That's when something caught her eye,

The Cheerios sign-up sheet.
