Chapter 15- A Saturday in Town

This isn't how I prefer to spend my Saturdays, but oh well. Just in case any of you lovely readers have forgotten and have bad memory like the author who always takes forever to update this darn story, I promised Aso I would go out with him on Saturday. And by Saturday, I mean today. I mean, it's literally in the title of the chapter. Anyway! We decided to meet up at a small park close to town.

Not that this is one, but I've been on dates before, not serious ones though. Of course,  you all know the kind of person I am, so you should know why it is I went on those dates in the past. However, I learned that manipulating and tricking others by forming romantic relationships with them is a bad idea. Because if I did it too often, I'd be labeled as a player and I might as well just kiss that good reputation of mine goodbye as I watch it fly out the nearest window. So I decided to just stick with forming friendships, or at the very least let the person I'm tricking have a crush on me.

Just like the guy in front of me. "Wow (Y/N), you look great today!"

"Thank you." 'What was I using him for again? Was I even using him for anything?' I don't think so, but he has helped me in the past. With the delinquent and the bullies by defending me. Honestly, I don't think I even TRIED to get him to like me, much less talked to him. It was one of those cases where someone likes another person without even having talked to them before. I guess he fell for me when he heard of how kind, helpful, and sweet of a person I am, I don't know.

"So, is there anything you'd like to do?" He asked eagerly.

"I like to do?"

He nods his head rapidly. "Uh huh." He started to get up close. "Where do you like to go? What places do you like to shop at? Is there a place you like to eat at? What do you like to do?" He fires question after question.

I place both hands on his chest to gently push him away, while forcing out a laugh. "Whoa, slow down there! I know you're probably too fast for me to keep up, but I didn't think that would also apply to the questions you ask." I said jokingly.

He laughs along with me, blushing but smiling. "Sorry about that! I'm just so excited to be out with you, I'm so happy!" I can tell. "You also look very pretty today, I've only seen you wearing your uniform since I've only seen you at school."

Well someone isn't shy. "Why thank you! I could say the same to you, you look great as well."

Still blushing, he laughs and rubs the back of his neck bashfully. "It makes me so happy to hear you say that."

(Time Skip)

We chatted for a little bit before I rubbed my stomach with a sigh. He looks at me with concern. "You okay? Do you have a stomachache or something?"

I sigh again before responding. "No, I'm just a little hungry that's all."

He pulled out his phone to check the time. "It's about lunch time, do you want to go somewhere to eat?"

I shook my head. "I don't want a meal. I kind of just want to get something sweet."

"Something sweet..." He took a moment to think about it.

"You don't mind do you? I know not all athletes strictly eat healthy foods only, but I figured I should ask. You might not like sweet things anyway. Would you rather eat somewhere else?"

He shows me another big smile, eyes sparkling. "You're so kind (Y/N)! Thanks for thinking to ask me for what I want. As expected of a kind person like you!"

I wasn't even trying, but thanks. "It's no problem. Is it okay?" I ask again.

He nods, still smiling wide. "I don't have a problem with it. I like sweet things, like you for example."
