It was Monday morning and Danielle and Stefania could not wait to see each other after a Sunday apart. It had now been one week since they had officially known each other. One week full of conversations. One week that caused butterfly filled stomachs. One week that made them both wonder if they were dreaming.
How could one crave someone else's presence so much after just a week? Could it be love? Could it be a great love? Both ladies tried to shake that thought out of their heads. How can someone be in love after one week? It that possible. They decided to keep that thought tucked away to see where their relationship actually goes first.
"You're glowing!" Jaina said with a big smile as Daniele walked towards her. "I mean you were glowing like hell on Sunday because you spent most of your weekend with a very sexy and beautiful Italian.. but now it is showing even more. What gives?"
Danielle rolled her eyes but couldn't help smiling. "If you must know, the glow is showing more because today I get to see that sexy and beautiful Italian again."
Jaina studied her best friend's face for a sec hoping that her the blonde was not running too fast into something because the look on her face was new. The look on her face was a type of Joy that she does not see on Danielle's face often. Maybe once; when she was in love.
"I'm happy for you Dani. I don't want you to get though so I hope Stefania won't do anything to make me want to hurt her."
"Thanks J. We're getting to know each other but I just can't help the way I feel when I jus think about her. But yes, I hope everything goes well with us."
They talked more as they headed for some morning coffee.
"I'm paying" Danielle said to Jaina and the brunette nods as she takes the coffee to her mouth.
"How about putting my coffee on your tab too?" and Jaina and Danielle froze as they heard a very familiar voice. They looked at each other before turning around.
"Nicole.. Wh- What are you doing here?"
"I'm doing great. Thanks for asking." she said with a grin.
"Sorry. I'm just surprised to see you here and especially after so long."
"Well the Chief called me needing help with a case and I agreed and came as soon as I could. Hello Jaina." Nicole said as she finally address the brunette.
"Hi Nicole. Good to see you." she said with a tight smile before drinking some of her coffee. "How long are you here for"
"Not long.. we should be done by the end of the week." Nicole knew she wasn't a favorite person to Jaina after how things had ended with her and the blonde.
"Then hopefully nothing goes wrong and you won't have to be here for much longer than needed." said Danielle and Jaina had to hold back a laugh.
"Hopefully." Nicole said looking into Danielle's eyes. "Do you think we could talk when we get the chance."
"Maybe that's not such a good idea. But, we're all good and we have get breakfast before rounds." the blond replied and looked to Jaina. "Ready to go?" Jaina nodded and started to walk to the hospital's entrance. "See you around." Danielle said to Nicole as she followed behind.
"See you."
As the two bestfriends were walking to the cafeteria Danielle decided to call Stefania.

Danielle: Hey you. I'm heading to the cafeteria with Jaina for breakfast. Join us? If you are finish of course.
