An hour later, we finally arrived at a housing unit : I could feel the blisters forming on my feet. I walked in behind Bucky, nervously. I decided to take his hand to try and calm myself. After escaping HYDRA, we could trust no one. I saw Bucky smile to himself as he clutched my hand, assuring me everything would be okay.

"Hi, I'm looking for an apartment to rent, please?" Bucky asked, in an unusually friendly manner.

"Bedrooms?" the man asked in response, not even bothering to look up from his work.

"Uh, just one," Bucky said.

My ears pricked up at what he said, and I smiled to myself.

"Okay, name?" the man looked up to Bucky.

"Jack Slater," Bucky replied, almost immediately.

*Wow* I thought to myself, *he must've thought about that whilst we were walking.*

The man pushed some paper towards Bucky, "Okay, sign here. The deposit is 5,000 ruble, and I'll grab you the keys."

Bucky let go of my hand and took the pen and signed a false signature on the paper. He took some cash from his pocket and placed it beside the paper. He placed the pen down and took my hand again, as though he never let go.

The man returned and handed Bucky the keys. The whole thing seemed surreal to me. I wondered if it was only a dream, and that I would possibly wake up soon.

"Second floor next door, number 7," the man smiled, "Have fun," he signalled to me with his eyes.

"Thanks," Bucky turned and walk out, and I followed after him.

I stayed quiet until Bucky unlocked the door and we both stepped inside. It was a lot nicer than I expected. The walls were painted a nude colour and the floor was a deep brown wood. The kitchen was clean and white and the living room connected.

Bucky and I walked straight past the bedroom and bathroom, so we didn't see those. To my surprise, there was a small TV standing in front of the sofa. The apartment overall was nice, apart from the dust and cobwebs.

"I thought it would be worse," Bucky said, smiling.

"This is spotless compared to HYDRA," I looked around with my eyes, shocked.

"And ours," Bucky wrapped his arms around my waist, "So let's make ourselves at home."

Bucky placed the bags down beside the fridge and began to empty the food into the fridge and cupboards.

"Even gave us a radio," he smiled and turned it on.

'Beat it' by Michael Jackson begun to play and Bucky did the moonwalk.

I laughed at him, "You're good at that."

"Practice," he smiled.

"Want a hand?" I asked, stepping forward.

"No. I want you to go and tell me how bad the bedroom is," Bucky smiled back at me.

"That's it?" I asked, "I can do more than that."

"Yep, when you're finished that, I want you to put your feet up over there and relax," He stood and walked over to me.

"No, let me help," I said.

"You are helping. By staying out of my way," Bucky smirked.

I playfully punched his arm, "Cheeky!"

Bucky kissed me, and then looked down to face me, "Go and check."

"Fine," I complained, before walking off down the hall.

I opened the door into the bathroom, accidentally, but decided to look around anyways. The bath and shower were connected, with the shower attached to the wall. The sink was beside the bath, and the toilet beside that.

Also in there, was the washing machine and dryer, and beside that, the hamper. I looked around and ran my fingers along the dust of the sink.

"Well, looks like I'll have to make some complaints about the bed," I turned to see Bucky pointing at the bath.

"I walked into the wrong room, and thought I'd just have a look," I laughed, "I'm going now."

"Me too."

"What? You told me to look," I said.

"Well now I want to look too," Bucky smiled, walking away down the hall.

"You confuse me," I followed after him.

He opened the door and switched on the light. The sun light from the window was already lighting up the room, but the main light helped give us a clearer view. The bed was in between two, small bedside tables. One with a lamp and another a stack of books.

The bed itself didn't look like much from a far, but then that was what we were used to.

Across from the bed, pushed against the opposite wall, was a dresser and a mirror hanging over that. In the corner of the room, was a random art easel, without any painting supplies.

Bucky didn't take any notice of this ; the first thing he did was jump onto the bed. He wriggled around for a moment, before sitting up and looking at me.

"Better than our last," he smiled.

He used his hand to signal me over to him, and I slowly walked towards him. I tilted my head, unaware of what he wanted. Until he pushed me down beside him and rested on top of me.

"Well then," I smiled in response.

He placed a finger on my lips, shushing me, before bending down and kissing my lips. His body was pressed against mine, so close I felt his body heat.

He continued to kiss me, slowly moving down and kissing my neck.

"Bucky..." I began.

"Shhh," he said softly and quietly.

"Now isn't the best time," I said and he stopped kissing me, and looked up.

"How come?" he asked.

"Because I don't want a baby," I smiled, and soon Bucky realised what I was talking about.

"Right," He sat up and moved to my side.

I turned to him, "Don't look so sad. I'm not going anywhere."

"Good," he winked at me.

Every time his eyes met mine, I felt a swarm of butterflies flying around my stomach, uncontrollably.

"I love you, Y/N..." Bucky said softly.

"And I love you too, Bucky," I smiled to him.

I moved around, to get comfortable and placed my head on Bucky's shoulder, exhausted from our travels.

"You going to sleep?" he asked, looking down at me.

"I'll try not to..." I began.

"Don't worry. We don't have to run anymore. Your safe," I felt Bucky's face form into a smile, as he rested his chin on my head.

And with those words, I fell asleep.
