Actually, it felt like he stood over me. I felt my whole body shrink as he rose, shooting to the ceiling, regaining all the power he lost over me the second I escaped.

I noticed Bucky's eyes grow wide and grip my hand at the sight of him, but I only briefly paid attention. My thoughts and my mind were only focused on Pierce.

"Winter Soldier... Y/N, it is nice to see you again," Pierce's voice boomed through my ears and rang in my mind like an alarm.

My head was telling me to fight, my heart telling me to run. Which was more reasonable I couldn't decide. But I couldn't move. I was in shock, frozen to my space on the cold, wooden floor.

"I have to admit, though, I was surprised to find you betrayed me and left. That hurt a little," he continued.

I barely heard the words he spoke, only his tone, and yet it was hard to hear that, above all the voices in my head. *Run. Hide. Fight. Go. Tell Bucky you love him one last time.* My mind filled with multiple options.

I chose to ignore them all. I wasn't ready to make a decision about anything.

"But now here we are. And you'll be happy to know I mean no harm," Pierce spoke and my ears shot up.

He meant no harm? That was like telling a child that the world is full of unicorns and rainbows. And maybe it is, but lurking in the darkness, is always the dragon.

"The door was a minor inconvenience, and so for that I apologise."

"Get out," Bucky finally spoke, his voice higher than usual. I could see it was taking everything in his power not to lash out.

"But I've only just arrived. Surely you would have learnt by now it's rude not to invite your guests in for coffee?" he questioned, stepping closer, "I take mine black, darling," he smiled and me and walked off down the hall, "Fix the door, boys!" he yelled back to the men.

They quickly began to lift the door, repositioning it as they found it.

I immediately swung around and turned to Bucky, "W...What the hell do we do?"

Bucky looked down at me, and I already knew I wasn't going to like what he said, "Make the man a coffee."

God dammit, Barnes.
