They had ruined her. I followed her along the empty halls of the HYDRA base in Romania and couldn't keep my eyes off of her. It took everything I had not to look at her ass. She had been working out. Maybe a bit too much.

She was a lot skinnier than when I last saw her. Her thighs were thinner, and her arms were stick. But her ass was ripe.

I couldn't stop thinking about how I kissed her earlier that day. I tried everything in my power to resist it, but after not seeing her for seven months, my power just wasn't enough to stop me.

She opened a door and held it for me as I walked in. Pierce sat on a chair in between to guards. And as soon as he saw my face, he stood, with his eyes wide.

Y/N followed in behind me, shortly after, showing Pierce the file in her hands, but he took no notice.

"Soldat, leave us," Pierce said, not removing his eyes from me.

"No. I have your file and I want my reward," Y/N snapped back.

And that caused Pierce to look away.

"You don't think you've had enough rewarding?" Pierce snarled at her. It was so hard to keep my mouth shut.

"Stop sending me on so many missions, then. It works two ways," Y/N continued to sass him.

"Keep going, Soldat, and you will be getting a punishment instead."

"In front of your guests? What a way to scare off your friends. I want my reward," Y/N repeated herself.

"Guards," They began to approach her, and she didn't dare to flinch.

As one grabbed her arm, she kicked up and kneed him in the groin. The other she headbutted, making him lose his balance and stumble back.

"Fine. Nevermind," She threw the file down to the floor and turned to walk out, "Maybe I'll see you around, Barnes," she smiled, before exiting.

One of the guards got to their feet and turned to follow after Y/N.

"Leave them. Leave us and take a break. Close the door on the way out," Pierce ordered them, and like dogs, they obeyed.

"James... You shouldn't be here," Pierce began.

"You took her! You took her and left me with no one. With nothing!" I exclaimed.

"And that was a bargain that she made on her own accord. She agreed to my deal to keep you safe, you should feel proud of her," Pierce smirked.

"Don't test me, Pierce. You just sent your only protection to a break," I threatened.

"James. You should know by now, that I have plenty of tricks up my sleeve."

"Give me her back," I said bluntly.

"That's not how this works. Y/N is dead. The Putere Soldat is who she is now. She doesn't know you, Soldier and the quicker you move on, the easier it will be," Pierce explained.

I stepped forward in a rage, but Pierce pulled a button from his pocket, "Ah, I don't think so. One press of this and she comes right back. And she will kill you. Her training is like no other. She obtains skills no one has ever mastered before."

"You made her your killing machine!"

"Don't act so surprised. You knew that would happen, yet you still didn't try hard enough for her," Pierce continued to anger me.

I wanted nothing more but to rip his head from his body, but I wouldn't get away with it. I wasn't going to hurt Y/N.

"So what? You just keep her as your number one girl until you find someone who does it better?" I asked.

"There is no one that can do it better. But if someone happens to come along, then by all means, you can have her," Pierce smirked.

I grew more impatient every time he spoke, "I loved her! I still love her! I lived a life with her. I was going to marry her. I... I had the ring, I had a plan. And you ruined my plan."

It's true. I was going to do it on Thanksgiving, to show her how truly thankful I was. Whether or not she would say yes was a completely different matter. She was always so anxious of Pierce. And I never understood why, until he returned and took her.

"My apologies, son, but life doesn't always play out how we want it," Pierce said.

"Hmh, apparently not. How about I take her place?" I said impulsively.

"You're not as good as Y/N. You might not see it, because you still perceive her as that innocent girl in your bed, cuddled into you, but she has changed. Guns, bows and arrows, knives, swords even, spears. She knows every form of combat known to man. What do you know?"

"Not to talk back. Not to question you. Not to second guess you. And most certainly not hurt any of your guards. She's your pride possession. Without her, HYDRA would be nothing, that's why you're so easy on her," I replied.

"Easy? I take it she didn't tell you about her life very much. Trust me, Soldier, she is put in her place," Pierce continued.

"So I heard. Who are they?"

"Sorry?"

"The men you let rape her. Who are they and where do I find them?" I said. Just the thought of that made me want to cry.

"Who, I don't know. Where, probably not here," Pierce said, looking down, "I'm not proud of what this has become, but it keeps her quiet."

"Quiet?!" I wanted to tear him to shreds, but what good would that do, "That's what you care about? Give me one good reason I shouldn't kill you!"
