Since the Beginning

Chapter 3

The rest of the week flew by fast. Probably because I was actually enjoying myself at school for once.

“Hey, wear something pretty tonight!” Daniel winked at me from Beau’s car after school on Friday. 

“But make you sure you’re wearing shoes you can run in.” Beau added. 

I cocked my head slightly and raised an eyebrow. I slowly turned on my heels and started walking home. 

“Get in, Maizy!” I heard Luke holler behind me as he climbed into the already packed car. The 5 boys were seated inside, yelling at each other. 

“There’s no room!” I cried, throwing my arms in the air. 

Luke patted his lap and smiled. I returned the smile while I skipped over to the car and jumped on Luke.   He wrapped his arms around my stomach to keep me from sliding off. The car pulled up in my driveway and I headed straight to my room. 

“Wear something pretty.” Daniel’s words bounced around my head. I practically tore my room apart trying to find something to wear. 

I eventually decided on a pair of coral skinny jeans, a mint coloured tank top and white Toms. I quickly curled my hair and headed outside to wait for the boys. 

“I’m ready, come pick me up!” I texted Beau while lying on my front lawn. I got tired of waiting so I closed my eyes. When I woke up someone was sitting on my stomach. 

“She’s alive!” Luke screamed out leaning close to my face. 

“Are you?” he cocked an eyebrow. 

“I won’t be if you don’t get your fatass off of me!” I laughed, pushing him off. 

“Where are we even going?” I asked, holding my hands out to Beau. He pulled me up, wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me close to him.

“To the mall. We’re going to film some videos.” He smiled devilishly. His eyes sparkled and I melted on the spot. 

When we got to the mall the boys set up their cameras and started doing things that I would never do in public. After a couple of hours they pushed me into an elevator with Luke. 

“Am I part of this now?” I groaned. 

Luke ruffled his hair and smirked at me. I sighed and leaned against the wall, crossing my arms. When people started spilling into the elevator Luke pressed his self against me. He looked into my eyes, bit his lip and rested his hands on my hips. I unfolded my arms and placed them on his shoulders, pushing him away slightly. He pulled himself closer, eliminating any remaining space between us. I exhaled deeply as he leaned in and planted a firm kiss on my lips. 

When Luke pulled away I quickly grabbed his shirt and pulled him back in, kissing him more. Our kissing session quickly heated up and Luke’s hands slid up the back of my shirt while my hands slid up the front of his. He grabbed my ass aggressively which caused me to yelp and he picked me up, wrapping my legs around his waist. Our kissing lasted for a while before someone scolded us and told us to stop. When the elevator made its next stop Luke grabbed my hand and we ran out.

“What did you two do?” Beau asked, noticing my burning red cheeks.

“Hope we got some good footage!” Daniel cheered, rubbing his hands together.

 ‘What just happened?’ I thought. My mind raced. I want Beau, but what just happened with Luke made me want him too. I felt light headed and I knew Luke could tell because he held me by my waist and suggested we got something to eat.

‘It was just for the video.’ I reassured myself thinking about what happened.

But that wasn’t working. It didn’t feel planned, it felt real and I loved every second of it. I wanted more. While we waited in line to get food I pulled Luke aside. He looked worried when I requested to talk to him.

“In the elevator,” I began.

“Don’t worry, it was only for the video.” He laughed and glanced at his feet.

“Oh.. yeah. I thought so, just checking.” I forced a smile but I died a little inside when he looked away.

“Hey guys, I think I’m going to head home. I’m tired!” I announced after we ate.

“Alright, we’ll drive you home.” Beau crooned.

“Want to stay for a bit?” I asked when Beau stopped the car in the driveway.

The boys didn’t even answer they just piled out and headed towards the front door. I let them in and plopped down on the couch. Daniel sat on my lap and everyone else sat around on the couch and floor. I reached over and grabbed the remote from the coffee table and switched on the radio. As soon as the boys heard the song they all jumped up and started dancing and singing. I laughed at them and turned up the radio.

“This is our song!” James yelled.

“Yeah, it’s a good song.” I agreed with him.

“No, we wrote this song, this is us singing!” Jai screamed.

My jaw dropped. This was the song from the other morning. They’re the Janoskians! I jumped up and immediately started dancing too. Daniel and Beau picked me up, holding me on their shoulders. I screamed and kicked in refusal but they just laughed. After our intense dance session I invited the boys to stay the night and headed up to my room when they accepted.

“Someone can sleep with me if they want.” I seductively added while starting up the stairs. I stopped at the top to see who was following me.

Just as I turned around Luke picked me up and carried me off over his shoulder. I laughed as he did so and he threw me on my bed. I walked over to my closet and pulled my shirt over my head.

“Oh, thanks for the warning.” He turned away covering his face.

“Calm down, like you haven’t seen a girl without clothes on before.” I teased.

He blushed. He hadn’t. I quickly snatched his hoodie off the floor beside my bed and slid it over my head. I then slid my pants off and jumped into bed. He removed his clothes and was left in his underwear. He climbed into bed and crawled up behind me as far away from me as he could get. I rolled over and faced him.

“What?” he asked.

I laughed and slid over beside him cuddling him and resting my head on his chest.

“Goodnight, Luke.”

“Goodnight, Maizy.” I felt him plant a kiss on my head.
