Since the Beginning

Chapter 6

I rolled over onto Luke when I woke up Saturday morning. I yawned and stretched my arms out, accidently smacking him in the face.

“Shit.” I whispered.

“Ow!” he groaned.

“That’s payback for punching me!” I cried.

“I said I was sorry!” he wailed.

I sniffed the air and I could smell that someone was making breakfast.

“Food!” I cheered jumping off the top bunk and running into the kitchen.

I was shocked to see an unfamiliar body standing at the stove, cooking. She was a few inched taller than me and had dark brown hair just passed her shoulders. She was dressed the same as me, in one of the boys’ over-sized hoodies.

“Hello?” I interrupted her humming as she cooked.

“Jesus Christ!” she screamed.

When she turned I was surprised to see that she was absolutely gorgeous.

“You must be Maizy! I’m Sydni, Jai’s girlfriend.” She announced, extending her hand.

I shook it and smiled.

“Good morning,  beautiful!” Jai sang walking into the kitchen kissing Sydni.

“Gross!” I cried running down the hall into the twins’ room.

When I slipped in the door the first thing I saw was Luke’s plump ass.

“Dear god.” I screeched, covering my eyes.

“Don’t you knock?” he cried. “You can look now.”

I slowly peaked through my fingers to make sure but he had lied and he was standing naked in front of me.

“Jesus, Luke!” I screamed.

“Haven’t you seen a guy without clothes on before?” he mocked.

“Shut up and put a towel or something on!” I ordered.

“Are you decent yet?”

“Yeah.”

I lowered my hands to see that he had on a pair of blue boxers. I awkwardly stood there admiring his body.

“What?” he blushed.

“Oh, nothing.” I bit my lip.

He did the usual thing that drove me absolutely insane, he ruffled his curls and played with his lip ring. He walked up to me and pushed me against the door, placing both hands on either side of me. He smelled of body wash and shampoo. He lightly brushed my lips against mine. I leaped forward and kissed him firmly. He returned the kiss. We continued to kiss and before I knew it we were climbing onto his bed. He was on top of me as we continued to kiss. I flipped him over and sat on his stomach. He pulled the hoodie up and over my head and threw it on the floor. We got lost in the heat of the moment and the next thing I knew he was reaching down to take his boxers off.

“Stop!” I grabbed his hands before he could continue.

“You’re right!” he searched around and grabbed a condom.

“No, Luke that’s not it.” I replied. “I’m not ready.”

He slowly nodded and dropped off the bed. He held his arms up, indicating he’d help me off. I leaped into his arms and he lightly placed me on the floor. I started to apologize but he cut me off with a kiss.

“I love you.” He whispered.

I felt my eyes widened and I stared at him in shock. I struggled to try and find words.

“I’m going to head home.” I eventually announced, slowly gathering my things.

“Yeah, sure.” Luke scratched at his head and walked me to the front door.

-Luke’s POV-

“Where’s she going?” Beau asked walking down the hall towards the kitchen.

“Home.” I replied.

“What did you do dickhead?” Beau accused.

“Just piss off!” I spat back.

I headed straight back into my room and shut the door a little bit harder than I expected. I didn’t even bother to climb onto the top bunk; I just dropped on the floor in frustration. The door opened and Jai walked in, stopping and folding his arms when he spotted me on the floor. Sydni stuck her head in the door and peered around.

“What happened?” Sydni pried.

I told them of what just happened between Maizy and I.

“Did she say she loved you back?” Jai asked.

I shook my head and lowered my gaze.

“You need to talk to her.” Sydni added. “Don’t let it go, because you’ll never know. Just ask her.”

-Maizy’s POV-

‘What did I do?’ I asked myself as I curled up in a ball on my bed.

“Honey! Want to..” my mom started as she entered my room. “What’s wrong?”

“I messed it up.” I sobbed.

“Messed what up?” she interrogated.

“Luke told me he loved me, but I freaked out and left; and I didn’t say anything.” I wailed.

“But you like him back right?” she asked.

I nodded. My mom embraced me and kissed my head.

“I’m sure he knows.” She reassured.

I didn’t leave my room for the rest of the day and I must have fallen asleep because I rolled over to look out my window and it was pitch black outside. Every few seconds I heard a patter on my window.

“Ew, rain.” I groaned.

But the patters weren’t frequent enough to be rain. I crept over to the window to see Luke standing outside with a hand full of pebbles. He dropped them when he saw me and motioned for me to come down. I stood there, admiring the scene, he had a couple of lit candles around him and to his left was his guitar. I quickly threw on a sweater and jeans and ran downstairs and outside.

“What are you doing?” I asked embracing in him in a hug.

“I really like you, Maizy. When I told you earlier I think I really surprised you and I’m dying to know how you feel about me.” he stated.

I gulped.

‘Don’t fuck this up, just tell him!’ I ordered myself.

“I’m crazy about you Luke. When we were filming and you kissed me, I thought it felt different, like it meant something. But when I asked you said it wasn’t real.” He stopped me before I could continue.

“And I’m sorry for that, because it was different. I just wasn’t sure how you felt.” Luke added.

“Kiss her, cunt!” I heard someone holler from the bushes behind him.

I giggled as he pulled me in and planted a kiss on my lips.

“Now that you have me, what are you going to do with me?” I questioned when we parted.

“Keep you around.”
