Lena's: POV
Dinner at Sharon's this afternoon was bitter sweet. in the beginning I felt a little nervous, she asked me tons of questions about myself. Like what kind of work l did, luckily the kids were upstairs in the den watching a movie. She sat a piece of apple pie
in front of me, along with a cup of tea
While Stef sat there nursing her hot coffee. I wasn't much of a coffee drinker as Stef, Stef rubbed her hand up my thigh to ease my nerves, I tried to keep my composure. But I wouldn't lie and say it didn't feel good and did
Sharon told me that she knew my mother. And she was best friends with her, l never this about the woman who gave me life. It seems like l'm finding something new about my parents each day. Sharon seems like a kind and genuine person, l tried to hold back the tears that stung in the back in my eyes. Hearing stories about mom, Stef saw the painful look on my face. She whispered to me and ask if I was alright, l gave her a reassuring nod to let her know I was okay. But deep down inside my heart was breaking in half, l never fully grieved my parents death. I guess l suppressed it, over the years
I excuse myself from the table to go out side to get some air so I could catch my breath. I sat down on the swing and the tears begin to fall from my eyes, l tried to hold in it as long as I could. But the pain was unbearable
