Chapter 10: Friends 11

Type POV:

I slump back on the car seat, head low, eyes closed. I punch the door of the car many times, Sarawat reaches my hands and pulls me to his embrace as I start to cry.

Everyone is quiet, I don't know what's on their mind but I'm sure it ends with a question mark.

I calm down, and lose myself on Sarawats hold, and lean my back on the seat, waiting for them to ask me.

Dylan and Boat are looking outside the window.
Tine is tightening his hold on the steering wheel.
Win is biting his lips, clenching his fist.
Sarawat is looking at me, with tears in his eyes.

"Why? How? " Sarawat finally finds words to say.

I look away, wiping the tears on my face.

"I don't know when, or how, but it started after the last mission," I told them everything, about the dreams, the wolves, and my ability to heal.

"Why you didn't tell us? " it's Tine.

"How? " I asked him back, his jaw clench.

"So the rumors at a military base are true! " Dylan said. We all look at him.

"What do you mean? " Boat is seriously looking at him.

"It was 5 years ago, someone said that the base has a secret underground, some prisoner was taken there, and the weird thing is their eyes changes in color, some are green some are pure yellow and some are red. The next day the person who said that went missing, they never saw him again till now! " Dylan casually said as if he just telling a fairytale.

"Before I transferred in the base, one of my colleagues in my station warned me to be careful, he said, that the military higher-ups are keeping dark secrets.! " Win said, playing the necklace that hangs on his neck.

"What do you think you are Captain? " Dylan ask me.

"A werewolf! " I said. They look at me with surprise.

I can't keep it to them for too long, they trust me, I'm their leader, it would be unfair to them.

"That creature really exists?" Boat asked me but sealed his mouth when I look at him.

"What do you mean "really exist"? Have you heard about werewolves before? " now all attention is on him.

"You know what guys, let's go home first, I'm not comfortable here anymore, let's stay at your place Captain! " Win suggests.

They all agreed, and we hit the road again, I look at Sarawat, his eyes outside the window, he's in deep thoughts. I took a glance at some of them, even if they don't say it I know there's a lot of questions in their minds.

Chopper moved his body on my lap and curled up there, I pet him until he falls asleep, I divert my attention outside, when I notice a motorcycle on the side mirror of the car, approaching us.

I study him first, I put chopper on my side, my eyes never leave the reflection of the said rider. He is driving fast as if trying to reach us.

"Tine, the full speed we've got company. " He glances on the side mirror and steps on the accelerator. I reach the gun under the seat of the car, I saw Sarawat, reach for his gun on the side corner of his seat.

Boat, Win, and Dylan are ready to take action.

"Be careful on your side babe! He changes position! " Tine warn Sarawat. I saw the shocked expression of the three idiots.
