January, 1975

"So how are you enjoying the new Care Of Magical Creatures professor?" Mary asked as we left the classroom. "I fucking hate him. He's so annoying I don't understand what his problem is." I complained as we walked down to the great hall for lunch. "I don't know I think he's okay" Lily said, joining us.

"You only think that cause you think he's cute." Mary said back. "Who does Evans fancy?" Sirius said, throwing his arm around me and Lily. "I don't fancy anyone."

She rolled her eyes throwing Sirius's arm off of her and walking ahead. "What's her problem?" Sirius scoffed dramatically, standing behind me now leaning against me with his arms around my shoulders. "It's her time of the month" Mary said slightly annoyed at how bitchy Lily had been acting the past few days, my periods never really affected my mood but for Lily that was on a whole other spectrum. "Ew, I didn't need to hear that" Sirius said, making a disgusted face.

"Really Sirius? You're 15 bloody years old." Mary spat at him. "So, it's gross. You don't hear me walking around talk about how massive my morning shit is" Mary and I covered our ears but it was too late. "See, it's gross"

I shook the disturbing thought from my  head as we entered the hall and took our seats. Peter, James, and Mary sat across from Sirius, Lily and I. Remus came soon after and sat between me and Sirius. We talked for a little bit about our new schedules and what we where going to do during the weekend. After lunch I took my free period to hang out with Remus in his dorm.

Lily and Mary had Defense Against The Dark Arts and the other boys had Herbology. I laid down with my stomach on his bed, crossing my arms under my chin and resting my head in them. "Sooo, what do you wanna do?" He asked, leaning against the bed post a few inches in front of me with a look I could recognize almost immediately. We smiled at each other, he pushed himself off the post and I sat up with my legs over the side of the bed.

He leaned down and started kissing me, running his hands up thru my hair, pushing me down on the bed. A few minutes had gone by and now he was on top of me kissing my neck and rubbing himself against me thru his jeans. My shirt was completely un buttoned and my skirt un zipped. Just than a knock came from the door. "HEY REMUS ARE YOU IN THERE I NEED TO TALK TO YOU!"

It was Marlene, she was shouting which felt very unnecessary. I practically jumped off of the bed looking for a place to hide, the bathroom would be to obvious so I just rolled under his bed. The skirt of bed hid me pretty well. I could only see their feet as he opened the door. "Okay, I have a question, and you have to give me and honest answer" Marlene said, her voice was slightly muffled but I could still understand her.

"Okay.." he replied back, I could hear a nervous tone in his voice and I'm sure Marlene could to. However she chose to ignore it and continued talking, "So, I need to know what to get Mary for our anniversary and-" "I'm really sorry but I'm not good with gifts." It was true one time he got Sirius a box of matches for Christmas and told him to 'have fun'.

We all thought it was a joke but Sirius didn't and he did in fact 'have fun' that day. "Oh come on, I saw what you got Liz for Christmas" Even tho I couldn't actually see I could visualize the cocky smirk she was making in my head. "So what did she think? She didn't tell us anything about it" "Uhm, I actually never gave it to her" I could sense he was doing the thing he does when he gets nervous, rubbing his hand of the back of his head.

"Why not! I'm sure she'll love it." "No it's stupid, I don't want to." I covered my mouth to keep from laughing at the awkward energy that was radiating in the room. "Why don't you just ask Lily or Liz or Sirius even." He whined, "Because none of them are good at relationships" I tried not to scoff at her remark, although she was right.

They talked for a little while longer and Marlene just decided to ask Sirius for advice instead. I slid out from under the bed once he had locked the door. "You got me a present?" I smiled playfully, swaying slightly towards him. "Can we just finish what we started?"

He said grabbing me and lightly pressing me back on to the bed. It took a lot of will power to pull away from the kiss but when I finally did I asked about the present again. "Please let me see it" I begged looking up at him, form where I was on the bed. I could tell he wanted to say no but something made him change his mind. "Fine."

He groaned, and got up from the bed. I sat up, smiling. He came over and sat across from me with a small box in his hand. "Okay, you can't say anything bad about in front of me, no calling me poor and saying how bad I am at picking out gifts." He said it in a joking manner but I could tell he was slightly serious.

"When have I ever made fun of you, now give it to me" I said eagerly grabbing the box from his hand. He made a struggled noise trying to grab the box back for a second before giving up. I opened it, slightly bouncing in excitement, when I opened it I gasped quietly. It was a thin 'gold' necklace with a small sparkly butterfly charm hanging from it.

"You hate it don't you" he sighed, trying to grab it from me. "No!" I squealed moving away from him. "I love it, for your information." I kept my eyes on the necklace, admiring it.

"Can you put it on me?" I asked, handing him the necklace. I turned around so my back was facing him and he clipped the necklace on. I ran quickly to the bathroom mirror to see what it looked like on me. It was so sparkly and it looked a hundred times better on me than it did in the box.

I ran back over, wrapping my arms around him and kissing him repeatedly. I straddled my hips on top of him, "You are the best, did you know that?" I said, kissing him again. "I may have heard it once or twice" he said back with a big smile on his face. I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him once more. "Bloody hell I could do this forever" he said, eyes closed.

"Mhm, I could take it or leave it."
