Nharro's POV
I woke up the following day, but I was still in a dream.
Djivann was asleep next to me while trapping me in his arms.
I took a look up at him. It seemed like he was crying not too long ago.
Last night's events ran through my head as I tried slipping out of his embrace.
My plan now was to get that girl and myself out of here.
Something about this place felt wrong to me.
I opened the door slowly, but it creaked loudly and woke up Djivann.
For a moment, he just stared at me and tried processing the current situation.
Meanwhile, I froze in place.
He let out a disheartened sigh and said, "I don't blame you if you think I'm no good for you after those events. I blame no one but myself. That was against everything I stood for."
I didn't say anything and let him continue.
"Either way, I thank you for stopping me. I could've killed that little kid if it weren't for you. Consider joining the Yrradakii some time. A kid like you would fit perfectly there."
I had no idea what a Yrradakii was, but I was in no mood for inquiry.
Looking at the door and back at Djivann, I decided to stay. Maybe he just had a bit of a slip-up last night.
I walked back to Djivann and sat beside him on his bed, implying that I wasn't going to leave anymore.
Despite that, I still asked about the girl.
I had many questions. Who was that girl? What was the big deal in getting into her head?
Most importantly, what is with the white streak of hair? Not going to lie, but it gives the impression of someone old. It makes her look like an old woman in a child's body.
After a load of questions, Djivann said, "You have some certain admiration for this girl... looks like you bit the orfella with eyes closed."
"What?"
"Means you became her little admirer without much thought."
That's ridiculous!
No way I can fall for a girl that fast.
"In denial?" Djivann continued on.
I looked away and glared at him from the side.
He snickered and messed my hair.
"Well, better clean yourself. We're meeting your special girl at breakfast," he said with a wink.
I ignored his endless teasing and left to freshen up.
An hour later, we were all at a glass table with plates full of flowers.
I wonder where the food is.
At the table, I sat between Djivann and the girl.
The woman from last night sat beside her.
Two more seats were still vacant, so I assumed we were still waiting for two more people.
I fidgeted in my seat until Djivann nudged me with his elbow.
He motioned me to talk to the girl, but I refused.
So the dummy did the talking.
"Hey, Zei-Kana, sorry about last night. I brought you a friend for you to make you feel better."
