Nharro's POV

The sun woke me up the following day.

I was in a pillow fort with Tari asleep by my side.

It was about time we finished this bracelet.

Quietly taking the bracelet from her pocket, I took hers with mine.

Outside my bedroom, I heard my parents talking.

I left the bracelets in the pocket of my backpack and came out.

The moment I was about to go down the stairs, I could already hear my mother talking about how she thought I felt about Tari.

Nope.

I closed the door back slowly, making it creak.

Tari woke up behind me.

Faster than the speed of light, I ran to her and held her tight.

"We made it out," I said, my voice breaking and almost crying.

She quietly chuckled and hugged me back.

We both lay down side by side in our pillow fort.

I checked the time on my phone from under my pillow.

10:30 AM

"Hey, Tari..." I asked, "What time will the auditions start again?"

"Hm? Oh, it starts at 11 o'clock."

We stared at each other in silence for a few seconds.

Then happy late realization hits.

We got up immediately.

I started cleaning up my room and packing up while Tari bolted to the showers.

When I showered, Tari was practicing her singing.

I have to admit, it was weird that I was dueting with her while I was showering.

Either way, with around 10 minutes left, we quickly had breakfast.

While I was eating, I told my parents our trip for today.

As we left, they wished us luck, and we ran to the school auditorium.

Luckily, we arrived with a few minutes to spare.

Just enough to catch our breath and ready ourselves.

We anxiously waited for our turn.

Some did well.

Others just looked like a bunch of wannabes.

My apologies, but that guy's dancing a while ago just bored me to death.

While we waited some more, the guy with the horrible dancing sat beside Tari.

After a while, they seemed to get well acquainted.

It was rare to see Tari socialize with anyone other than me, so I let her have her moment while I practiced my guitar.

Our turn came.

We went just like we always did.

Tari added more movement with her singing since we were on-stage rather than under-tree.

Most importantly, we had fun.

Tari and I sat with that guy again through the next auditions.

The guy introduced himself to me as Valdrin.

Tari and I chatted with him for the rest of the auditions.

She looked much more comfortable with him than other people I've seen her meet.
