Khathari's POV
"Tari! Where are you? School starts in 5 minutes!" Nharro yelled on the other side of the phone.

I quickly ran out of the shower, rummaged through my closet for my uniform, and shouted, "Roro! Would you be patient?!" into my earphones.

I carelessly slid into my uniform, grabbed my bag, and darted out the door.

The school was about a 10-minute walk from my house, but maybe if I make a run for it I'll make it before the bell.

I sped through a bunch of people at a bus stop, hurried past the pedestrian, rushed through the park, and broke through the gates.

I continued running as I checked my watch and mumbled out of breath, "1... more... minute."

I stumbled up the staircase as I made my way to class. I reached the 3rd floor and stopped a moment for air.

Class 8.E., my class, was right at the end of the hallway.

"Let's go Khathari..." I mumbled.

I took a deep breath and sprinted across the hallway.

The door was just a few feet away...

... but the bell rang before I could even touch the handle.

I slapped my palm to my forehead and groaned.

I was so close...

I took one more deep breath and entered the classroom.

I looked at our class adviser and slightly bowed my head while saying, "My apologies Sir. Krej for my tardiness."

Sir's face seemed a bit better now.

He motioned me to come over to the teacher's table. In front of him lay a small stack of papers.

Probably some letters from the school...

I walked over there and scanned the paper he was pointing at.

"You know what to do? I have a substitute class to attend to," he said.

I quickly responded with a nod and a, "Yes Sir."

I took one sheet and examined it one last time while Sir. Kreji asked the class to lend their ears to what their class president had to say.

I mouthed, "Roro help me out here!" to my best friend and vice president of the class, Nharro, but I prefer to call him Roro.

Roro stood up, analyzed the paper in my hand, and took another sheet from the stack.

He took out a whiteboard marker from his pocket and started writing on the board.

I stood in front of the class and read the letter out loud.

It was about the themes of the upcoming Junior High School Week.

Movie Monday - Cosplay

Talent Tuesday - Casual

Wonderful Wednesday - Stand Out

Tie-Dye Thursday - Tie-Dye Shirts

Finale Friday - Formal

While I spoke, Roro was writing the important points on the side of the whiteboard.

Majority of the class paid no attention at all, as usual. I gathered all the other papers and distributed these to the class.
