Screams

"Lucifer..." ruby whispered, moving to her knees, her breathing shallow as her heart raced.
There before her laid the body of the man she loved for nearly an entire millennia. He was gone. Just like that. She was...she was alone. The one person who was supposed to be with her through all the ages was gone.
She bowed her head and her shoulders began to shake as she grit her teeth, pain and anguish building inside her as her eyes began to glow a violent red and she threw her head back and screamed.
Her scream was so loud it shattered all the glass on the entire island, caused some of the stone of the walls of the Parthenon to crumble and even caused dome of the wooden pews in the hall to split as Gabrielle hit his knees and covered his ears along with the other angels, they all closed their eyes and groaned, in pain as her scream rattled their eardrums.
When the scream was done they all looked up dizzily and looked around, the white glow in their eyes seemingly gone as they looked at eachother and their crowns in confusion. They began to ask eachother what happened and how they got there as they unshakled their crowns.
Gabrielle soon looked up and saw them and he glared at them. "What are you fools doing?! Get back to your places!" He shouted dizzily.
They turned to look at him as if he had lost his mind.
"Wait! I remember what happened. You hypnotized us all during our heavenly communion! You poisoned us all with demon blood!" Yelled Zadkiel.
The others all began to chime in in agreement, remembering as well what had happened.
"You've lost your way brother." Raziel chimmed as they all began to walk towards him, Gabrielle realizing he was outnumbered and doomed he began to back away.
"No! No! I was doing God's work! I was bringing our Ruby home and destroying the abomination we once called brother!" He said gesturing to the dead body and sobbing ruby.
They all looked horrified by the scene before them and shook their heads.
"You're the abomination for what you've done brother. And for that you will face father for your sins." Uriel said as they all closed in around him and suddenly disappeared into balls of light and then the room fell silent except for ruby's sobbing.
Esme, the emerald of the crowns, a plump woman with long green hair and dark green eyes and golden freckles across her face and shoulder stepped forward and knelt to unchain ruby. "Sister..." she said. Trying to gently take ruby's shoulders to sooth her but ruby rushed forward out of her grasp and pulled Lucifer's body up into her arms, not caring about getting blood on herself at all ad she leaned him against her shoulder and caressed his face.
"Lucifer?! Darling!? Wake up! Come on wake up! Please!...." she pleaded as the other crowns gathered around to watch their youngest at sister fall apart.
Lucifer was limp in her arms and no sound came from him and ruby simply pressed her face against his bloodied chest and sobbed, taking fistfulls of his black fur as she clung to his body.
"No... no you can't leave me. You can't!" She whispered. She couldn't be alone. This couldn't be how it all ended. There was just no way...

The Crowns let her mourn, let her stay there clinging to Lucifer until wheezy, dice, the twins and Hilda Burg arrived the next day, being guided in by the crowns the little group stopped at the door.
The boys went to rush forward to t heir mom but wheezy caught them by their shoulders.
"Boys wait here for a bit... give me a minute with your mother." He instructed, handing them off to dice who looked at the sight of his mother in such a state in horror.
Wheezy sighed a heavy sad sigh and slowly lumbered up to the scene where he knelt in front of ruby.
She had cried herself out and was now simply holding Lucifer's body while stroking the fur on his cheek.
"Hey ruby..." he said gently.
Ruby said nothing, simply looking down at Lucifer.
"Ruby it... it's time to go home... we need to get you to a doctor and...and we need to get him on ice." Wheezy said, trying to make this simple.
"He's not gone wheezy... he can't be gone... I can't be alone." She whispered, her voice scratchy and pain filled.
Wheezy bit back tears. He had seen ruby broken down before but never like this. Never just so...lost.
"You're not alone ruby. You have me. You have dice. You have the twins and the crew. We are all here for you... but you gotta come back to us." Wheezy encouraged.
"The Crowns promised to keep his body safe until we can get him buried. However you want it done. It can be a big beautiful ceremony for him. Ok? But we gotta get you patched up first."
"Wheezy... I'm so afraid..." she whispered, looking up at him, her eyes were nearly black, all the red seeming to have gone from them.
Wheezy shuddered. "I know. But I'll keep you safe." He said, moving to gently pull Lucifer from her arms and lay him down. He them moved to pick her up bride style in his arms and carry her out to the ambulance that they had waiting outside.
