The Dream

Belial saw her home and he took her hand as she stood in her open door, bringing it to his lips. "I do hope I get to see you again ruby. I quite enjoyed our time together today." He said, his black eyes shining at her.
She giggled and blushed at his suave behavior. "Well you know where I live now. You're welcome to stop by for dinner anytime." She said with a smile.
"I'll have to take you up on that. For now though I'll leave you to rest. Have a pleasent evening ms. Ruby." He said before stepping back and tipping his hat to her before turning and walking away.
She watched him go, still trying to figure out where she knew him from but she shook her head and went inside.
She made dinner and made all the different casseroles she would need for the recovery time and she put them in the freezer just as wheezy and dice stumbled in from work.
"We're home." They rang out in unison.
"Welcome home boys. Dinners on the stove." She called over her shoulder as they came into the kitchen.
Dice came over and gave her a quick hug. "Thanks mom. Smells great." He said as he went over to the stove where wheezy was already making his plate.
She watched them and smiled before fixing her own and sitting down with them to eat.
"Hey wheezy?" She asked after dinner as she and wheezy did the dishes together. Wheezy washed and ruby dried.
"Hmm?" He hummed.
"Do I know someone named Belial Star?" She asked, looking down as she dried a plate.
He looked at her and raised an eyebrow. "Not that I know of. Why?"
"Oh no reason it's just... on my way to the market today I met a man who told me that's what his name was but he seemed so fimiliar to me..."
"Ruby... you gotta be more careful. Immortal doesn't mean invulnerable." He scolded.
"I know that! I just... I don't know he was really friendly and warm natured... I swear I know him from somewhere." She said, looking off out the window.
Wheezy splashed her and brought her back to reality with a jolt. "Hey!" She scolded.he chuckled. "Stop talking to strange men. That's how you got there in the first place." He said, gesturing to her huge belly.
She glared lightly at him and set the plate on the shelf before rolling up the towel and snapping it on his ass, making him yelp and his ashes turn aflame as she scurried away, laughing.
"Ruby!" He roared as he hurried after her but she beat him to her room where she quickly locked him out.
He snarled out side her door and shook his head before heading off to his own room for bed.
She giggled as she laid out on her bed. She loved messing with wheezy. It was a good pass time.

It was well into the night and the apartment was quiet, the only sounds were the soft snores coming from the bedrooms and the other apartments around them.
Ruby tossed and turned in her sleep as a nightmare held her captive in her own mind. Lucifer stood over her, taller than normal and angry looking as he held his trident out at her.
"Did you think you could get away from me ruby? We both know you'll never escape me. We both know you're nothing without me." He said darkly, laughing at her as she tried to run but her feet seemed to be stuck in place.
"And now because of you your son, your baby and all the crew are dead. You tried to free them but look at what you did instead..." suddenly all around her were the bloody mangled corpses of her friends, of dice, of wheezy. Of everyone she loved.
She shook her head and hit her knees. "No! No they're alive! I know it! You're a liar!" She screamed.
The devil laughed, suddenly picking her up in his tight fist and bringing her to his face as she struggled to get free. "Oh ruby. You and I both know that I can't lie..." he said as a golden bird cage just big enough for her appeared in his other hand.
"Come back to me ruby. Come back where all of your friends and you can be safe..." he said as he slowly tired to put her in the cage.
She tried to fight, to scream, to get away and just before he pushed her in she sat up in her bed with a cry of fear into her dark room, her hand flying to her chest, feeling her heart racing under it.
She heard wheezys feet hit the floor in his room and knew he was coming to check on her and she shifted her weight ever so slightly to begin standing from the bed when she felt a pop inside her a rush of fluid fell from her as wheezy burst in.
He looked down at her, a wet spot between her legs on the bed and panic forming in her eyes. "Wheezy?" She whispered.
"Please tell me you just wet the bed?"
She shook her head and bit her lip. "Go call the doctor." She told him and he rushed down to the phone and dialed the number as ruby laid back against her head board and grit her teeth through the first of many contractions.
