"Evan!" Alaina squealed at the sight of him wide awake on a hospital bed. She stretched out and pulled him into a bear hug. She and Roddy had left for the hospital immediately after she had gotten the call. She just couldn't wait to see him.
"Okay heffa. You squeezing a lil too tight" he choked out.
"Right. Sorry. I'm just so excited" she beamed. "So how you feeling?"
"Forget bout how I'm feeling, how your shit glowing like that? Either allat Bahamian sun did wonders or somebody been putting it down right" he said, giving her a look. Her immediate blush confirmed his suspicions.
"You nasty bitch" he gasped, playfully hitting her.
"It ain't even like that" she shook her head, looking down at her feet.
"Ain't even like what? Like you wasn't getting your cheeks clapped while I was hospitalised?"
"Bu-"
"Relax. I ain't holding it against you. I woulda done the same too" he said and she chuckled. "Where's Mr. Green eyes anyway?"
"He's waiting outside. I wanted us to talk alone for a minute" she explained.
"Now why wo-"
Their conversation was cut short by the doctor coming in.
"I'm glad to see that you're awake now Evan" the young doctor said, smiling politely at the both of them.
"I think he's into me" Evan discreetly whispered to Alaina but smiled back at the doctor.
"Now about your health" he started, looking down at the clipboard in his hands. "Luckily, the arsenic didn't do much damage. Your immunity is quite resilient"
"Yeah I'm pretty strong" Evan spoke up. "And flexible" he added and Alaina snickered.
"Good...for you I guess" the doctor said, giving him a weird look. "Anyway, we managed to get all of it out of your bloodstream but we still need to keep you here for more observation just incase anything goes awry"
"You can awry this dick" Evan mumbled.
"Sorry what?" The doctor asked.
"What?" Evan played clueless.
"You said something"
"I didn't say nun'. Did you say sum' Lay? I didn't say nun'" he said and Alaina clamped a hand over her mouth to control herself from bursting out in laughter.
