Oᴍɴɪsᴄɪᴇɴᴛ

Alain had always loved the night. The numerous stars decorating the night sky. The cool breeze that made her skin tingle. The moon that shone down and made everything seem like it was glistening.

She had loved the nighttime ever since she was 12 after a field trip to a planetarium. The love had grown deeper when her father had gotten her a book about the stars on her 13th birthday.

When he had passed, she remembered crying as she read through the book just to see the little notes he had written for her in between the pages.

That further solidified her connection with the night sky.

But looking down at her soon-to-be husband, she decided that there was one thing she loved more than the night sky.

And that was the man before her.

Two things actually if you included her kids but that was besides the point.

"Whatchu thinking about?" Wayne's question pulled her out of her head, his voice husky and low.

"You" she answered honestly.

"And what about me?" He smirked and she rolled her eyes, already knowing that his big head had gotten inevitably bigger.

She shook her head, looking away as she played with the hair on his nape.

"Answer me" he all but growled, squeezing her thighs where his hands lay resting.

"Make me" she dared, giving him a challenging look.

They held eye contact for a minute before he looked away, chuckling a bit.

"I really...enjoyed...this week with you" he muttered, almost nervously, the sudden mood change confusing her.

Wayne was a lot of things.

Bold.

Unrefined.

Extremely horny.

But never nervous.

"Really? That's awfully sweet of you to say" she said teasingly, placing her hands over his, making him tense up.

As much as she wanted to continue the small talk, she wanted them to do something else even more. Slowly, she moved his hands up her body and placed them on her chest, squeezing them.

The smile on her face slowly turned into a frown when she saw his eyes flickering away from her.

"Why you so jittery?" She asked him, peeling herself off his tensed body to sit beside him.

"I just-" he sighed. "I just don't feel up for doing all that right now"

"Oh" she muttered, feeling her cheeks flush red with embarrassment. She didn't think he'd shoot her down like that.

"Don't get it twisted" he said, already sensing that she was getting the wrong idea.

He used a hand to cup her cheek and made her look at him.
