I stared down at the text. “She said I could go!” I thought. I slowly slide my phone back into my purse and walked over to a group of girls hoping I could blend in. I stood there listening to their conversation.

“Noooooo. Riker is cuter!” one of the girls exclaimed. She was looking up into space, daydreaming.

“I like Ross better!” another girl yelled. The third girl just rolled her eyes at the comments.

“You know, you’re never going to meet them.” she said.

“You don’t know that. Anything...” she stopped talking and looked up at me.

“Can we help you?” the third girl was standing in front of me.

“No sorry. Just looking for something to do.” I said quickly. I turned around and walk away from the girls until I was standing right in front of the stage. I sat on the floor and leaned my back against the side of it then put my face in my hands. I tried not to cry because I didn’t want to ruin my mascara. I just sat there hoping my mom wouldn’t come or she would get lost or something. All of a sudden I heard some yelling. The crowd was being pushed apart to reveal my mom. She looked terrible. Mascara ran down her cheeks and her hair was really snarled. I sat there with my face away from her but it wasn’t long before she spotted me.

“You are so died!” she yelled at me. She slowly started walking toward me. Quickly, I stood up and pushed through the crowd. I went as far as I could until I ran into a door. I quickly opened it and slammed it shut. I backed away from it and turned around to see where I was. In front of me was a long hallway with three doors on each side. Slowly, I started to walk down it when I heard a click behind me. Turning around I saw my mom standing in the doorway.

“Get back here!” she screamed. I turned and started to run down the hallway. It wasn’t long until I tripped on my dress causing me to face plant into the ground. I turned around to see someone standing in front of me. At first I thought it was my mom but then I looked closer and noticed that what I saw  wasn’t a girl but a guy. Looking up I saw Riker standing in front of me. I looked behind him to see if my mom was still there and sure enough she was still coming. Riker must have noticed my scared expression and he turned around to see my mom.

“Stop running theres nowhere to go!” my mom yelled again. By now Riker had realized what was going on. He grabbed my mom. She was trying to get out of his grip by screaming and kicking but he kept holding on. I quickly pulled out my phone and dialed in 911.

“Hello, what is your emergence?” a lady said through the phone.

“Help my mom is trying to kill me!” I screamed. Quickly I told her where I was.

“Help is on the way just hold tight.” she said. I hung up and put my phone away. My mom was still trying to get out of Riker’s grip. I stood up just in time to see my mom reach into her pocket and pull out a switchblade.

“No, mom!” I screamed at her but it was too late.
