It was a hot summers day as I sat at the park opposite our estate with my favourite book Pride and Prejudice in my lap and a freshly bought strawberry ribena next to me. We had finished our exams and it had been exactly 2 months since me and Jade had moved in with Reece and his family and exactly 6 weeks since Reece had come back home from the hospital. Things were going okay at the flat, actually to be honest they were going more than alright. Me and Reece were getting on surprisingly great considering the fact that this time last year we couldnt be in the same room for longer than 5 minutes before I ripped out his heart. However things were still beyond awkward with me and Kieran - but I tended not to think about him much, it only bought my mood down to an all time low.
I felt someone tap my leg hard and I looked at Jade and Layla sitting on the grass next to me screwing. I pulled out my earphones and smiled at them.
'Don't smile, we've been talking to you for the longest HOUR!' said Jade snatching the book out of my hand.
'Sorry i was reading' I said taking a sip of my ribena, 'whats up?'
'We were asking you what you were gonna wear for Jaden's summer barbeque today' said Layla as we all stood up and made our way back to the estate.
'I'm so excited for this barbeque!' said Jade clapping her hands in excitement, 'Jaden's barbeques are always live'
'I know right! Remember when Terrance fucked up Karl last year, for whinning with Priscilla' said Layla that set both Layla and Jade into fits of laughter. I smiled at them as we reached the top of the estate and Reece's front door.
'Oh my gosh Bubbles, this is going to be your first time at one of Jadens barbeques' said Jade, a smile creeping up on her face. I nodded my head as I opened the front door to bashment blaring around the whole flat.
'The neighbours are gonna flip' I muttered as I put my book and iPod on the desk in the hallway before running up the stairs.
'We'll be in the kitchen, so hurry up and get ready!' shouted Jade, as I jumped up the stairs 2 at a time. I grabbed my towel that was hanging on the towel hooks outside the bathroom and walked into the bathroom, stripped and took a shower. After I finished cleaning off all the heat, I creamed myself and then walked out and across the hall towards Reece's room where the music was on full blast. I knocked hard on the door, and heard the music turn down as Reece opened the door wide before walking back to his wardrobe his back towards me.
'You look nice' I commented as I sprayed myself with Beyonce Heat's perfume. Reece turned his head in my direction and looked me up and down slowly before smiling.
'So do you' he commented, licking his lips before turning back around and putting in his diamond stud earring. I rolled my eyes as I hid behind the wardrobe door and put on my underwear, and then put on a black bandeau and my white and navy blue dungarees that had gold buttons on the chest, to make it look like a military/sailor outfit. I walked out from behind the wardrobe to see Reece in a pair of cropped military camouflage trousers with his plain white Nike Air Forces on, with a white ralph polo shirt on. Reece had cut his hair a few weeks after he got back - said his hair grown made him look to young - so he stuck to his hair being faded at the sides with the top cut down a bit as well, but still leaving enough hair to show his wavy soft curls. Looking at him like this explained why so many girls loved him off. He was a chocolate/caramel skin toned guy with dark grey eyes and nice hair and a sexy height. Kinda explains it all right.
