'Are you sure you're not gonna come with us?' asked Jade as she threw on her denim jacket. I looked up from my magazine and shook my head. Jade sighed and gave me a sympathetic smile.

'Okay, I'll bring back your results' said Reece who had just bolted down the stairs. I nodded and gave them a smile.

'Good luck' I said as they both walked out the front door. I heard them talking as they walked across the landing and towards our estates stairs and decided to take a shower to take my mind off, of where they were going. It was August 24th, also known as results day. I should be happy, because I think I done a really good job in my exams, but I hadn't been out of my house since I was at Kierans and thinking that today was the day that I found out if I was continuing on to second year of college, just meant that sooner or later I would have to go back to college, and going back to college meant seeing Kieran. Something I was no where near ready.

I had just finished getting dressed and was frying chicken when I heard them come through the door laughing. I grabbed a tea towel and started wiping my hands and switched off the oil and walked towards them.

'Bubbles!' shouted Jade smiling and running up to me. 'Guess what' she said screaming, waving her paper around, 'I got 3 B's and an A'

'Congratulations' I said smiling and hugging her.

'I need to go call mum' she said running up the stairs two at a time. I smiled at her until she reached the top of the stairs and then made my way into the living room where more laughter was being made. I opened the door and saw Kadeem, Akeem, Layla, Jaden and Reece sitting down, smiling and talking.

'Hey Bubbles' said Layla. I waved at her and made my way over to the only available seat, next to Kadeem, holding and resting onto the pillow. Reece looked at me and then down at the brown envelope that had my name on it.

'Here' he said handing it over to me. I took the envelope and looked at it and I was just about to open it when Kadeem took it from my hands.

'Here I'll open it for you'

'No, its her results, she can open it' said Reece his face screwed, taking the envelope out of his hands and putting it back in mine. Kadeem and Reece sat there glaring at each other and  I looked at Jaden hoping he would get the message that I wanted him to help.

'Go on Bianca, open it' he said smiling at me, and at the same time, discreetly pulling Reece's arm back so he could relax from his alert and defensive position. I nodded and ripped open the top half and read the letter. I sighed and shook my head throwing my results on the coffee table and getting up and making my way out of the living room, trying my best to hold back  my tears of disappointment.

'Bianca?' called Reece. I carried on shaking my head and made my way back to the kitchen, ignoring all their calls.

*Reece's P.O.V*

'Bianca?' I called as we all watch her walk out the living room. I looked at Layla who shrugged her shoulders and carried on watching the empty space that Bianca had just walked through. I saw the tears in her eyes as she walked out and expected the worst. Bianca was smart, so if she failed, no wonder she would be disappointed.

'What?' said Kadeem. We all looked over at him standing up, with Bianca's results in his hands, his eyes glued to the paper. I kissed my teeth loud and snatched the paper out of his hand.

'Are you serious? Why you reading her results man'

'Listen, she passed' he said looking at all of us, 'look'. I looked at him confused then turned over the paper in my hand to see Bianca's results. I felt a smile on my face form as I read her results.
