I was laying on Reece’s bed in his uni room when my phone vibrated next to me. Putting down one of Reece’s books, I reached over and answered, smiling at the caller.

‘Kadeeeeem’ I singed into my phone, his laughter following shortly after,

‘Hey Bubbles’ he replied, ‘I didn’t know you were here’

‘Yeah came to speak to Akeem about the Temi thing the other night’

‘Mmm, how’d it go?’

‘I have no idea, but your brother is stubborn’

‘Yeah I already know this. So what you up to today then?’

‘Nothing, Reece had to meet someone so I’m kind of just in his room alone at the moment’

‘Good, that means you can come get something to eat with me, I’m mad hungry’

‘You paying?’ I asked smiling already in anticipation of him cussing.

‘Bianca your ass works you know! Just cause you’re lightskin doesn’t mean I must buy you food everyday’

‘Firstly; don’t be a hater and secondly its not everyday cause I don’t see you everyday…hater’

‘Mmm whatever, I’ll be outside Reece’s block in five minutes. And bring your purse!’ I smiled and hung up, jumping off the bed and walking over to my all white high top leather converses. My phone beeped a while later whilst I applied my vanilla spray and lotion on my hands and arms and I flung on my khaki green biker jacket and grabbed my black satchel with everything in it before leaving Reece’s room. I walked up and hugged Kadeem once I was outside and gave him a nod of approval for his attire.

‘Nice, nice’ I said giving him a thumbs up, ‘didn’t know I was that special’. He rolled his eyes making me laugh as I jumped into the passenger seat of his and Akeem’s car, fastening my seatbelt in the process.

‘I see you got the white hurraches as well’ I commented looking down at his humongous feet which were currently working the pedals of the car. Kadeem smiled and nodded, as he looked back , reversing out of the uni car park.

‘Yeah we all lined up at stupid o’clock for these’

‘Mmmh, I saw you lots snapchats. You’re all crazy’

‘They’re ill though, don’t lie’

‘They’re okay’

Kadeem chuckled a little before connecting his phone to his car via Bluetooth, filling his car with Wande Coal. I laughed and shook my head.

‘You’re so African’

‘So what should I be playing? Your come sex me now inna di car park music?’ he questioned giving me a side glance.

‘Please don’t ever say that again’. We both laughed as he continued to drive. I glanced up at Kadeem and was in awe in how much he had grown. Although identical, Kadeem was definitely the better looking twin, but I think it was strictly down to the way he conducted himself. Akeem although quite bright, didn’t use his intelligence to his upmost potential. He was all about getting money the quick and easy way, or getting money in a way that would make him look good to the girls out there and make his status well known – hence why he was so on his djing thing, which don’t get me wrong he was good…when he actually decided to DJ. However Kadeem was more of a practical thinker – he was good with money and more of a strategist, he knew that in order to be able to gain the kind of income he envisioned, he knew he had to work hard for it and that meant getting a good degree.  Kadeem conducted himself in a grown matter – although he could still act like the child I knew he was, he didn’t get himself involved in any petty drama, despite having Akeem as his brother.
