Amora

"Holy shit you do?" Carrie gasped, widening her eyes.

"I could have so told you that, way long ago!" She laughed, shaking her head and waving her hand.

"What! Why wouldn't you?"I groaned.
"You let me sit here completely clueless about my own emotions!" I exclaimed, throwing my hands up dramatically.

"That's way adorable, now we can go on double dates what do you think?" She hugged my shoulder, smiling wide.

"No we cannot! That dork has no idea I even like him" I sighed, turning away towards my locker.

"Ugh right. He is totally blind, his love is right here!" She motioned towards me, shaking her head disappointingly.

"Yeah alright Carrie" I rolled my eyes sarcastically, waving her off.

She shook her head, pushing at my arm before slowly cracking a small smile as she rested against the locker next to me, thinking too herself.

"What are you doing?" I laughed, watching her expression as she was deep in her own thoughts.

"Oh nothing.. hey- you think you can you meet me at the sandlot? Instead of.. us going together?" She slowly questioned.

"Why? Are you really going to be too busy smooching with yeah-yeah or something?" I mocked, titling my head slightly.

"No! I just.. have too do something. So yeah, will you?" She asked again, nudging my arm.

"Sure? You're acting really weird right now.. but sure" I nodded, squinting my eyes as I eyed her suspiciously.

"Good. Gotta go bye!" She exclaimed, waving at me before rushing off.

I perked up an eyebrow, watching her in confusion as she quickly walked away before shaking my head and shrugging.

I slowly walked onto the field, huffing as I continued to drag my feet behind me tiredly.

I looked up and around, immediately stopping and furrowing my eyebrows once I noticed the field was empty.

I sighed finally spotting Benny who batted by himself, throwing up the baseball and hitting it, jogging over to retrieve the ball before repeating.

I bit onto my cheek, titling my head before calling out. "Hey dork head!"

He immediately looked over, raising his eyebrows in surprise once he spotted me.

"Where the hell is everyone?" I questioned, slowly walking over.

"I don't know, the guys said they were coming but.. I guess not?" He explained, shrugging as he looked back to the field.

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion, slowly softening my face once thinking back to Carrie and her weird, suspiciousness.

"Oh that little sneak" I muttered, crossing my arms angrily.

"Huh?" He questioned, knitting his eyebrows in confusion.

"Nothing. Well.. I guess if no ones here. Might as well go home right?" I sighed, slowly turning around.

"Wait wait- hold on" he immediately called, grabbing onto my shoulder to stop me.

I turned around, knitting my eyebrows together in confusion as I looked at him, waiting for what he had to say.
