Amora

2 weeks later

I've been absolutely, completely going insane with this whole Mr. Hall and grades and dad situation.

I've been studying, writing, reading, practicing my driving, trying to convince my teachers to boost my grades up. Mr. Hall is the only teacher I've managed to not be able to change my grade. He's one very tough rigid man.

But I've been going completely crazy. So crazy that Benny and I barely even see each other now!

Slowly as the days went by he stopped asking me too hang out, stopped calling me. Knowing exactly what I would say.

And I feel so terrible for it. I've had no time for him at all?

Gosh I'm the worst girlfriend in history.

"Amora?" Carrie chirped, turning me around from my locker.

I turned around too see Carrie and William who both looked at me with sad, worryingly expressions.

"What?" I questioned, instantly knitting my eyebrows together in confusion.

"Oh Amora, you've been working so hard. I really think you should give it a rest" Carrie stated, frowning as she shook her head in disapproval.

"Yeah..come on you're constantly stressing and studying, killing your self over this school crap because of your dad. Its really not good" William continued, rubbing my back softly.

I glanced between the two before shaking my head in denial. "Guys ok maybe I am stacking myself up with work but, I have too I mean I don't really have a option here?" I explained, shrugging my shoulders.

They both frowned looking to each other sadly.
"Have you at least heard from Benny?" William asked.

"No. Not since like a week ago..I think?" I sighed, looking down to the floor.

"At all?" He continued, perking up an eyebrow.

I thought to myself, trying to remember for a possibility before slowly nodding my head.

"That's weird. He's usually dying to see you" William furrowed his eyebrows, looking down in confusion.

"Oh, he went too the sandlot yesterday but he left early. Earlier than anyone else" Carrie sighed, slowly looking down as her voice died out.

I nodded looking between the two once more before turning around and closing my locker.

"Where are you going?" Carrie asked, seeing I was about too walk off.

"Driving. Still practicing" I replied, briefly glancing back at them.

——

"Ok, blinker on" I sighed, reaching over and pulling the handle.

"Stop, look both ways. Good, now slowly turn" I muttered, carefully instructing myself.

"Oops that was rough" I grumbled, cringing at the awful turn I just did.

I sighed looking ahead of me as I continued too drive down the road.

I wonder what Benny's doing?
Boy, do I miss that bogglehead.

I hummed to myself, tapping my nails onto the wheel as I turned the car and drove down a street.

I glanced over immediately doing a double take, squinting my eyes once seeing Penelope who walked down the sidewalk.

Slowly I slowed down against the sidewalk next to her. "Penelope?" I called out, knitting my eyebrows together in confusion.
