How much do you believe that a simple game of STD(situation, truth, and dare) can change your life?
Believe me, it can do miracles.
It was after my birthday, late into August. My tuition friends invited me to play a bit of badminton. We were done playing and were taking a bit of rest on the metal stairs near the building's electricity generator. It was both cold and hot since we had just finished playing. We were bored and to break the silence Aarush began, "Let's play STD", me and Aneeta agreed. I had been their friend for over a year, I played Navratri* with them, celebrated my birthday, and did lots of other things. We all had our chances and I chose truth for the first time, the chance to choose returned back on me. To spice things up a little I went for a dare. Aarush said," I dare you to go over to him and say a simple and casual 'hi'." To be honest I am not a shy person. But that day I don't know I was shy to say a simple hi. I looked towards the group of boys a few feet ahead of me, I didn't know which one he was. So I said," I don't even know him, how can I say hi?" To Aarush. He said and readers remember this line, "He won't think anything bad, he considers all girls like his sister!" In my mind, I cried out, "What a saint!?" So I went over in full attitude, I think I remembered him from somewhere, and said hi and turned around to go back to my place and added on without turning my head that it was just a dare. And this, my friends, is how it all began.
