The space around me
Becomes heavy
There is a weight settling,
In my chest, heat
---The silence is killing me
But I can't speak
The ground is shifting,
Beneath my feet
---The thump of my heart
Bubbles with anxiety
But if I fight hard enough
They'll accept defeat
---The unease dissipating
With hands flat and still,
No longer hysterical
They will retreat
