When you dreamed,
Why were you screaming
The way that you seemed,
It was quite chillingI covered you up,
Shook you hard
You did not wake up
I rang the alarmThen, you got mad
Said you were fine
Whatever we had,
I knew we bent the lineYou didn't accept my apology
You were too chivalrous
Your joy was like ecstasy
Every smile made me nervousI loved you in the light
In a room, in tense silence,
Every conversation a delight
One glance worth the distanceYou were unsure
Yet, you shone with confidence
The little you endured,
Gave yourself some prominenceIf only your joy was real
Then I would have been found,
For my joy was an ordeal,
To a black hole it was bound
