Can we just pretend we know ourselves
Simply let our hands do the talking
Open our hearts and quieten our minds
Let our eyes explain the longing
----When I watched you from my balcony
Did you feel my gaze on you
Burning holes on to your already
Steaming back and seductive view
---I heard your voice joyfully rising
As she made you laugh to tears
Couldn't stop my heart from sinking
As the view disappears
---
To think I could have been thereLaughing by your side
If only I had cared
Instead of gone inside
----I tell myself one day we'll meet
I'd talk to you and I'd feel seen
But I know that this will just repeat
I'll hover by like nothing had been
---At least I meet you in my thoughts
Such serene serendipity
I get lost in all the stories and plots
No matter how little of the future I see
----
