Y/N was not improving. Weeks later and she still groaned at the green colour her Everlasting Elixir- renowned for its bright blue hue. Professor Slughorn was unsure as to whether it was a matter simply of carelessness or just a lack of natural talent, but it was as she was packing her satchel, being one of the last in class after a rather chaotic potions lesson in which the liquid had gone up in flames and at least three Slytherins had accused her of being a pyromaniac that he cornered her and said something that made her stop in her tracks.

'Sorry, what, Professor?'

'A tutor. I think it could be... Beneficial for you, and, um,' the Professor coughed, 'The rest of the class if you just did some extra work in making sure that you don't... Blow anything up in the future.'

She tried not to look bothered but honestly, she was humiliated. She had never needed a tutor before, and she didn't plan on needing one. She hated being bad at things.

'I'm sure I could find you a suitable older student or...'

There was a loud bang and a laugh from behind them.

'Black! Yes, a talented potion brewer. Mr Black, could you come here please?'

Y/N stared at Slughorn, her knuckles turning white, gripping her wand as a few hay-wire red sparks shot out from the tip of it.

Sirius swaggered over, 'Yes, Professor?'

'How about you two find time to meet up once a week?'

'For...?' Sirius pressed.

'Tutoring.'

Sirius would have smirked had Y/N not had murder written across her face, 'Uh, yeah, sure.'

Y/N bit her tongue.

'I can do tomorrow night?' Sirius offered.

'Smashing.' Y/N grabbed her bag and left where she met Donna who had been waiting out the front of the classroom for her, fuming.

'You okay?' Donna asked out of politeness, looking like she didn't overly care too much.

'How do you feel about arson?'

'Sirius?'

'Why is he the way that he is?! He's so-'

'Y/N!' Sirius yelled from behind her, she took a deep breath and turned around.

'I'm sorry my tendency to blow things up has gotten you roped into this, you really don't have to, like not at all.' she said, slowly.

'Slughorn's offering me extra credit so I'll do it if you want.' though he didn't especially look thrilled about it.

'I don't actually have a choice so...'

'Right, so tomorrow Room of Requirement?'

Donna snorted, 'Tutoring isn't the reason you're normally in there I bet.'

'Shut it, Shacklebolt.' Sirius sneered.

'I don't know where the Room of Requirement is.' Y/N muttered.

'What?' Sirius asked.

'I don't know where the Room of Requirement is!' she said loudly.

Sirius frowned, 'Oh, I guess I'll show you then.'

'See you then I guess...' She left without looking back at him. She wanted to be friends with him, if he would try, but he was just so narcissistic and she couldn't be bothered with egotistical gits.
