'Okay, so, we've tried all the basic unlocking spells um...' Y/N paced back and forth, 'Oh, I know!'

Sirius watched her walk over to the sealed door, the substance had hardened over the past eight minutes and they still had no idea what it was, 'Incendio.'

The wax didn't even melt.

'Okay, okay. That didn't work.' she buzzed.

She backed up and then ran full force at the door, slamming her body into it. She grunted and ran at it again. The door stayed sealed shut.

'Okay, next... Have you got a hair slide, Sirius?'

Sirius was slumped up against one of the cabinets, 'Y/N stop, we're stuck.'

'I'm not giving up, hair slide?'

Sirius sighed and pulled a hair slide out of his pocket. She took it from him and studied the lock.

'Oh, seriously?! It's a bloody magic lock, I can't pick this,' she sat down in defeat, 'I can't stay here, with you. I can't stand you!'

'Thank you.' Sirius smiled.

'Oh come on, Sirius. It's not like I chose to dislike you, you've been cold to me since my first day!'

Sirius didn't say anything at first but eventually grumbled, 'You retaliated though.'

'Of course I did! I wasn't going to let you walk all over me.'

For a moment Sirius considered apologising... considered.

They sat in silence for what felt like an hour. Sirius watched Y/N get up, hammer on the door and then sit back down again a few times. Y/N eventually started humming softly under her breath.

'Can you not?'

'Oh- Sorry, I didn't realise I was... Sorry,' she fiddled with her fingers, 'Sirius, are we going to have to stay here all night?'

'Nah, I'm sure someone will come by.'

'Ugh, this is the worst.'

'Well I'm not exactly glad to be here either.' Sirius spat.

'Ohhh I forgot- you had plans.' she retorted, sarcastically.

'Wha- Yes, I did! How lowly do you think of me?'

'Um... Lowly.' she replied as if it were obvious.

'That's nice, real nice!' he scoffed, livid.

'Well you haven't exactly shown me anything else. Just you being an ignorant bully.'

Her words hurt but he would never admit that.

They sat there, fuming. Sirius suddenly had the urge to just get out of here. He got up and tried to crack the hard substance with the back of a metal pen. To his surprise, it cracked! Y/N looked up hopefully, forgetting her anger for a moment. Sirius worked on cracking it for a bit until he noticed it wasn't working- the cracks were sealing up.

'Peeves is unbelievable.' he muttered and shook his head.

Y/N sighed in disappointment, tugging on the end of her now normal length pink hair. Sirius sat back down on the other end of the room, which was basically the same as sitting next to Y/N. He could feel the annoyance radiating off her like heat waves. If they were going to be stuck in here all night, they may as well try not to want to decapitate each other.

Sirius relented first, sighing he turned to her, 'I never actually congratulated you on being a beater. Uh, good job, you're actually... Really good.'
