I Need You

I crawled out of bed to answer the door. I fixed my hair a little bit and swung open the door. Shawn came stomping in.

"Carrie I need to tell you something" he said sitting on the bed.

"Can it wait it's 3 o'clock in the morning" I replied.

He shook his head and I sat down next to him. He grabbed my hands and sighed.

"I almost- kissed a girl tonight" he said hesitating.

I sighed.

"Oh" is all I could say.

"But I didn't because I'm in love with you and only you" he said quickly.

I raised my chin and sighed.

"Do you know when this happened?" He asked

I shook my head.

"In eighth grade...." He began.

*Flashback*

*shawns POV*

"Hey nerd! Why you writing love letters to my girlfriend!" The school bully Ralph yelled.

"What are you talking about?!" I asked.

He pushed me to the lockers. I closed my mouth, licked my braces, and shut my eyes. I shook my head and squinted.

"Ralph! What are you doing to Shawn!" Carrie yelled.

She pushed back her hat and pried Ralph off of me.

"Don't you ever touch him again got it?!" She yelled standing in front of me.

"I do what I want! End of discussion" he yelled.

"I don't care we're through, you asshole" she yelled again.

I stood up and straightened my shirt. Carrie turned around and hugged me tight.

"I'm so sorry shawn" she said holding my shoulders.

I smiled and walked with her to her next class.

*end of flashback*

I nodded.

"I remember that" I replied.

He sighed and stood up.

"I don't want to be with anybody but you Carrie" he said still holding my hands.

I looked at the floor.

"I'm gonna go talk to the guys. Come on" he said.

I sighed again and walked with him to the guy's rooms.

"Hey guys I need to- we need to tell you something" shawn said playing with his fingers.

"Your dating" cameron said.

"Wait how did you know?" He asked.

"It was pretty clear you're in love with her dude" carter finished.

"Don't you think I'd be getting after her if it wasn't so obvious" cameron teased.

Everybody chuckled.

"We're supportive of what you guys do" matt said.

Everybody nodded.

"Thanks guys" I finally said.

"We're goin to bed, night" shawn said.

We went to our rooms and Shawn knocked on the door again. he kissed me and headed back to his room. I chuckled and slid down my back on the door.
