*Shawns POV*

"Mom! Dad!" I yelled hugging them both.

They chuckled and brought Carrie into the hug.

"Your parents should be here soon too Carrie" my mom told her.

She smiled and nodded. They soon pulled in quickly and hopped out.

"Our baby!" Carries mom yelled.

They hugged her and smiled at me.

"How the hell are you shawn?" Carries dad said slapping my shoulder.

"I'm great how are you?" I chuckled.

"Im just fine thank you" he chuckled.

Carrie talked to her mom and dad, I couldn't stop staring at her. she's so beautiful.

"Oh my god are you serious?!" Her mom yelled.

Carrie chuckled. her mom and dad came over and hugged me.

"I told them were dating and they had a panic attack from excitement" Carrie said.

I smiled and hugged her shoulder.

"How bout we all go for dinner?" My dad said.

Everybody nodded and we were off to our houses. we met up at the diner and as always Carrie looked amazing. lights streamed outside the diner and a pianist played outside just like New York. this is the diner where Carrie and I met. she was sitting right there drinking a chocolate milk. I walked up to her and said...

*flashback*

"Hi" I said.

She smiled and pushed back her pink headband.

"What's your name?" She asked.

"Shawn Peter Raul Mendes" I said quickly.

"Hi I'm Carrie Mitchell" she said.

I smiled and hopped on the chair next to her.

"Wanna see a trick?" She asked raising an eyebrow.

I nodded. She blew bubbles in her chocolate milk. I laughed and she smiled.

"Wanna be friends?" I asked.

"Bestfriends" she said sticking out her pinky.

*end of flashback*

I wrapped my pinky around hers and smiled. I leaned in and kissed her.

"How can you not love chocolate milk?" She said clanking glasses with me.

I took a bit of my muffin and smiled.

"I just can't believe we've been friends for 12 years" I said playing with my fingers.

She smiled and kissed me on the cheek.

"You love birds done?" Carries dad asked.

"Carrie we need to talk to you" her mom said.

She had a confused look on her face and we walked over with her parents to the booth. Her mom grabbed her hands and sighed.

"Your father and I, well your father got a new job in Cali and we're moving" she said.

Carrie swallowed hard and held in the tears.

"When?" She asked.

"In a month" she replied.

I smiled and chuckled.

Carrie looked at me angrily and I walked out. she chased after me and grabbed my shoulder.

"What was so funny in there?!" She asked.

"It's funny because- I'm moving to Cali in a week" I replied.

She smiled and jumped into my arms. it was a lie now but I have to convince my parents to move. she let go and kissed me hard.

"Just don't say anything yet okay?" I said.

She nodded and kissed me again.
